A trip to the mall wouldn't be complete without chicken teriyaki from this place that's been here more than 20 years.
Their chicken teriyaki combo meal is excellent in price and fresh ingredients and quality. I get it with fried rice, extra meat... and mixed vegetables with extra sauce. It's not oily like some other Japanese restaurants. My choice weighs about two pounds.Yummy-yummy! Read more

Summary: The good old teriyaki chicken and other protein that we know and love! They're still standing after the pandemic as... other food court places have shut down. Prices start at $8.09 for chicken teriyaki and portions are smaller. Still taste goodthough. Malls aren't complete without Sarku Japan and I'm really happy to see that this one is still around at the Rockawaymall. Inflation sucks and I definitely saw it with the increase in prices vs the portion sizes that Sarku offers now. Thechicken teriyaki is still my favorite. Choose between chicken, beef, and other protein. Prices vary depending on the proteintype. Then choose white rice, fried rice, or lo mein. Veggies or no veggies, just let them know. And then you gotta ask forextra sauce at the end! They also have sushi but I wouldn't recommend it. I still love Sarku Japan but am sad that the portionsare smaller for the increase in price. I feel weird writing this, but the sushi here literally blew my mind. It was the best low-end sushi I?ve ever had. I can... honestly say it was made with love.
