I chaperoned a field trip with 25 high school students here where the owners graciosly shared their wisdom about starting and... running a successful business. They answered all of the students' questions and provided them (and myself) with a delicous tacobar. All of the food was prepared fresh by the restaurant and was amazing! Ordered 2 pork tacos from the food truck at Greenwich Village Art Fair. I won't make that mistake again. 2 tacos for $9.00 is... a bit high. I asked for black beans as a condiment when I ordered. In reference to the Catina Taco food trucks: There?s nearly limitless ways you can season meat, from more exotic Asian flavors... to the traditional staples of taco seasonings to a more conservative salt and cracked peppercorn. Cantina Tacos makes to boldchoice of deciding meat needs no seasoning whatsoever and just slaps it on a taco. And were it a brisket or high quality steak,ok. But, no. Wet flavorless pulled chicken or pork, still dripping water from the roaster it was cooked in. Toppings were goodbut the taco is seriously held back by the wet flavorless mass in the bottom of the shell. Not worth the price. Read more
Delicious, I got the chicken & shrimp build your own nachos, super yummy and worth the money ???? chicken was super good, idk if... they get it local but it was good big chunks not little dried out pieces like a lot of other restaurants I've had lately. Shrimpis also good, it's Illinois so I doubt it's local lol but was definitely fresher than shrimp I've had other more expensiveplaces. I had a little scoop left so I got a side order of chips to go and had it as my midnight snack, but I always have extratoppings I don't really pile up stuff on my chips. Excellent vegan tacos and birria tacos. The birria tacos and vegan chorizo tacos were perfectly condimented. They had a good... variety of ingredients however the salsa variety could definitely be expanded. Read more
