Got the beef brisket and it was burnt and dry, the fries have a pinch of seasoning. I imagine this is what it would be like for... someone cooking it for the first time. Terrible job on the meat, which is why people come here. The only thing that was decentwas the cornbread. Just bad all around. Mac and cheese literally tastes like Kraft cheese sauce with different noodles. Noseasoning on that as well. Read more
Didn't give us all food, won't give a refund On 10/16/22 I ordered food for carryout. When my husband arrived to pick it up,... two employees were kissing despite customers being in the restaurant. He gave the name the order was under and they gave him thewrong food. He asked for the correct order and they argued with him but eventually gave him the correct order. He saw it had theright name and left. When he got home I realized they had only given us half the food. I called right away to see if we couldget the rest or get a refund and the "supervisor" hung up on me. I called Corporate on 10/16 and they said I would have a refundwithin 48 hr. On 10/19 I didn't have a refund so I called back. They said they would escalate it to the store owner again. On10/21 I still had not received a refund. I called Corporate again and they said they would escalate it again but it's up to thefranchise owner if they do something about it. So at this point, if the owner chooses to remain unresponsive, I'm just out themoney that they stole by not giving me product for. I liked Dickeys food in the past but I will never eat there again becausethis is the worst service I have ever received from a business. So disappointing to know a company can steal from me this way. Ordered catering for 18 people. Got sliced brisket as one of the meats. The "brisket" was more of an overcooked pot roast that... was cooked in a slow cooker. I now need to go home and smoke my own brisket to get this taste out of my mouth. Read more
Ordered a 3 meat plate and barely got any meat. One rib had literally no meat on them. Their portions are EXTREMELY SMALL! There... are so many better BBQ joints in Rockford. This restaurant is just plain blah. Gift cards don't work in store, must use onlineordering instead to use a gift card. $60+ dollars for 3 people and all of us were not full/satisfied. Live 2 hours from here and was in town for the waterpark. Was excited to see a Dickeys nearby as the location we had in our city... closed a few years back and it was one of our favorite restaurants. Have to say we were highly disappointed with this location.They were out of most of the meats and fries and the food was cold when we got it and not very good. The man taking the orderswas very polite but the other man handling sides seemed like he didn't wanna be there and was not very friendly. Way overpricedfor what it was. Read more
OMG! This is such a joke!!!!!!! Ordered this meal for (8) people for Mother?s Day. There are only five us but I ordered extra... for second helpings and leftovers. After calling and speaking to the manager about my disappointment and LACK of food she wasadamant that this was what I ordered, dinner buffet for 8. I don?t know who she?s feeding but this wouldn?t feed 8 children letalone 8 adults. She tried to explain their formula for portion size but this wasn?t explained on the phone because I would?veordered more food had she done so. No apologies, no rectification, no NOTHING! This type of service is why restaurants fail! Andthis cost over $100.00. I would?ve paid double if it would?ve been enough food. Now I?m going to have to order pizza. Read more
1st visit. Food was good. Huge variety of sides. We tried the Creamed Spinach, Bbq Beans, Cole Slaw, and Mac n Cheese, they were... all very good! We did 3 meat plates, seemed like best value. One was Brisketx2 with Ribs, and other was Brisket, Ribs andJalepeno Sausage. They were all delicious! Like others reviews, portions are not huge, but neither are their prices so it's fairand it's def more than enough to fill your belly. Service was great, very friendly! Read more
Enjoyed every bit & we ordered ALOT ???? (2 two meat plates that came with 2 sides and a roll , & half rib slab plate that came... with 2 sides and a roll) brisket was so flavorful even by itself before trying out all 3 bbq sauce options , all sides weredelicious ( mashed potatoes , green beans , Mac and cheese , potato salad & the fried OKRA . ) I was too full to try the plateof ribs my man got but they went into the Togo box with our left overs that I?ll be heating up tonight ???? Forgot to mentionthey got the good crushed ice . I absolutely hate goin out and 9 times out of 10 the food is gross or the staff is nasty , I?mhappy to say I enjoyed myself tonight thanks to Tyler & Sara We dug in to fast and didn?t take pictures , but will next time !
