Got take out last night, full rack of ribs, mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. It was around 8 pm. I have ate at famous... Dave?s before in 2 separate locations and both times the ribs were amazing and fall off the bone delicious. These ribs inRockford IL we?re absolutely atrocious. Very chewy and fatty. We eat at Famous Dave's in Rockford Illinois due to the consistency of the food and excellent service we receive.It is a win win... when you leave feeling valued as a consumer. Our preferred meal is the All American platter.We consider it a one and donealternative with anything that doesn't get eaten that sitting a bonus for another meal. Omar makes an amazing effort to ask ifour order was prepared to our liking and if we may have any other needs. I remember picking up from here on 11/02 during the lunch shift. The food and atmosphere are above average, but that young woman... they had working the counter was the highlight. Nothing creepy, but she was friendly and had a phenomenal smile. Her customerservice alone elevated my visit. They need to compensate her well and give her growth opportunities. Food came out warm not Hot and it wasnt busy at all, only one other family in their. I had the waitress to feel the food too so... she knew it wasn't hot and she did apologized and replaced all the food. When she finally brought the food back it was hot, butshould have been hot the first time around. The waitress was very nice about it & the stars are for her. Read more
30 min wait even though there were plenty of empty seats. Server was great, food was so so. Pulled pork was dry and other order... was smothered in too much of there sauce. Shame was hoping for some good BBQ but this didn't really do it for us. May try againin the future. Read more
This was one of the worst experiences in a restaurant I?ve had in a really long time! Our server was smiley, but extremely slow.... Some of our order started coming out 35 minutes after ordering. There is apparently no teamwork, as the lone server for our12-top walked out 2 plates at a time with huge gaps in between trips. It took over 10 minutes to walk out the order in it?sentirety. My meal was a disappointment. After all that time, my brisket and ribs were both very cold, as was the broccoli withthe black spots. The Cesar salad had stale croutons that were spongy. The server never came to check how the food was, buthonestly if I worked there, I wouldn?t ask about the food either! The restaurant was completely dead at 6pm on a Saturday, weshould have taken that as a clue and gone elsewhere. The handful of other guests in there were also complaining aboutunacceptably long ticket times for food, with seemingly no cares given by the staff. Don?t waste your time and money here. Read more

Son! I been doing service call all over America for 45 years. This was the best BBQ I ever ate. The meat was tender and not... greasy. The sauces compliment the smokey meat. So glad someone recommended this place. Waitress was friendly and helpful withsuggestions. Kept the drink glass full. Can't wait until I can come again. Read more
