Charly's burger in Chicago is the best burger hands down. If you don't believe me read the reviews. But driving 70 miles,... from Rochelle to Chicago, just for dinner isn't always reasonable. $50 for food plus $30 in gas and tolls. I needed to find acloser killer burger. I had Five Guys once back in the day and didn't remember how I liked it. We went to Five Guys inRockford last week. Initially I was shocked to see the bacon cheeseburger cost $12. Once I opened it and tasted it I instantlyrealized why it cost what it did. It was huge and fresh. It was extremely delicious. The Cajun fries had way too muchseasoning. Next time I'll just get regular fries. I also wish they had cheese for their fries. Cheese fries > fries any dayof the week. I also like how Five Guys has so many options for burger toppings. Food was okay. Definitely the burgers were tasty but quite greasy. Personally I didn't like the French fries. They were too... soggy and salty, but my two guests did like them. I suppose it depends on your taste. For soft drinks the have an huge varietyof Coca-Cola products. I'm sure that one could find something for there liking. They do not offer meal deals. So everythingcost more. For a burger, small fry, and drink was $15. So for a date it would be about $30 and probably $50 for a smallfamily. I would suggest getting just a burger and drinking water. Either skip the fries altogether or share a large fry amongstfriends. Staff was friendly and the place was clean. They play old rock n roll.
