We had a wonderful server, Lamont, who took great care of us. The food was really delicious and came out quickly. The atmosphere... is a higher end brewery in an updated old building right on the water. The food was great. However, they seemed to be out of a few common items. Then about an hour into our meal (we were there close... to close) they were sweeping and vacuuming while our party was trying to have a nice time out. We eventually had to ask her tostop. We came here for lunch today and just loved the place. The old building is just beautiful inside. We were greeted and seated... promptly. The staff were all very friendly. Our food was hot and plentiful. All five of us enjoyed our food. After we ate wewent outside and sat down by the river to visit a little bit longer. Very nice atmosphere. Food was good tasting. Pulled pork was a little rubbery. We had the 420 bowls for our entrees, and although the flavors were... good and you could tell the chicken had originally been cooked well, the reheating needed for this dish ruins the texture of thechicken. They need to come up with a way to prepare that fresh, and then it would be off the chain! The pear mojito was greatexcept the bartender did not muddle the mint and lime. Well Hello Rockford???? Just had lunch with the Family at the Prairie Street Brewing Co. and wanted to share my experience with... you All. They have done an excellent job of rehabbing the inside of this building. We sat down in the lower level of therestaurant so for those that may need Wheelchair asessable they have an elevator available for use.The menu has a nice varietyof choices to tantalize all taste buds. The food was fantastic and we left feeling full. The atmosphere was great for a daytimemeal and I feel this it would be fantastic during the summer with a view of the Rock River. Our waitress was very knowledgeablewith their menu and the suggestions she made where just as delicious as she made them sound. I will definitely be back and Ihighly recommend this establishment for all to try. If your looking for a Great affordable place for date night I would givethem a try. Read more
I had recently purchased a ?Ultimate Weekend Escapes? magazine and one of the places to visit was Rockford! The article... mentioned many places to visit in the area and also mentioned Prairie Street Brewing as one of the best places to eat inRockford. We decided to visit the location and it did not disappoint. The building was beautiful and incorporated the history ofthe area. The views were also beautiful as the back patio overlooked the Rock River and city. The interior was well kept andprovided a unique old factory type feel. The service was fantastic and many employees enjoyed working there. The food was verygood and included dishes for every taste. The brews are also a must and are very tasty. The pricing is fair as well. I wouldrecommend this location to anyone in the area and even after visiting the Anderson Garden?s. You can tell this establishment ispaving the way for more business to open up in downtown Rockford! Read more
Not only did I not take enough pictures of this place sadly but the food was so delicious that we savored every flavor and bite.... The Reuben was mine and my husband had the Rockford burger. Everything is made in house down to the corn beef sauerkraut andeverything that?s on it and it was so crispy and the corn beef was juicy everything about it was perfect.
