Just want to give a shout out to the Olympic Tavern and especially our server/bartender Sarah Kiss! She goes above and beyond to... give us the most memorable experience every single Friday when we have our date lunch. The same table is always reserved, winebrought to the table and Baked French Onion soup order put in right when we get there. Service and conversation is top notch andfun experience! She is the reason we chose this place as our weekly Friday lunch date spot. Really everyone is great, food isawesome and everyone is super friendly! We highly recommend The Olympic Tavern Experience! Exceptional service for both lunch and dinner. My boyfriend and I have chosen this place twice as we pass through Rockford and... they are consistently great. I’m vegetarian and have been satisfied af with my food and my boyfriend says the wings are thebest he’s ever had. Definitely try them out if you’re passing through and read the rules at the bar! We hadn’t been here in awhile - still as good as we remember. We sat outside and Leslie was our server. She was great -... Friendly and efficient. We had the chips & guacamole for an appetizer - very good. We probably could have used a few more chips- generous scoop of guacamole. I ordered the tavern burger with just bleu cheese - good. Regular fries were very good - sent bymistake. Then my sweet potato waffle fries came - sooo good! Hubs had the shrimp scampi pasta - very good. We also ordered 3drink - 1was s Moscow Mule. The place was pretty busy on a Saturday evening very loud by the bar area but not so much where we were seated. The servers and... staff are very friendly and offer prompt service. The food was really good. The cheese curds were super good. Read more
First off the service was terrible, we barely seen our waitress. 2nd our calamari appetizer was brought out with the sauce... frozen solid. The only positive was the fish fry was good. Read more
Beautiful place with a truly unique exterior, a cozy interior atmosphere of dark wood and low lighting, and a refreshing and... open patio with a great design and good lighting. Waitress was very pleasant. Bit of a longer wait then expected to get us situated, even with a larger party that we had. Waitress was very attentive though. Great food and drinks. I have had great food at the Olympic. Their steaks are great, and the fresh green beans are more than delightful. I would go... back just for their vegetables. The Amish chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, cooked perfectly. They have ahuge array of beer and cocktails. The patio is enjoyable. I will continue to give Olympic my patronage, and I would highlyrecommend this restaurant. I believe it is definitely in the top five of nicer restaurants in Rockford. Read more
