I?ve been across the country on both coasts time and time again, there has not been and there will not be a better Gyro that I... find anywhere else but here. I?ve been eating it since I was a kid and anytime I come back to town the first thing I want is 2gyros and some fries. You come here for the Gyros. Other items may be very good or average. But it doesn't matter. Just make sure you get the Gyro. ... It's definitely the best I've ever had. It's super tender with a buttery pita, tender meat, tons of tadziki sauce, and crisponions. If you order it plus tomatoes you will get some extra crispness and acidity for no extra charge, although they mightsacrifice a piece or two of meat. Either way this Gyro is unbelievable and must be tried. Yes the neighborhood is supersketchy, sometimes with panhandlers about; however UN has had a security squad on duty recently at nights and that's definitelyappreciated. The restaurant is standing room only, one person served inside at a time, so this is definitely only for takeaway(I can't really recommend you eat it in your car..too messy). If you have never had a Gyro here don't hesitate. I haveopinions on other foods they serve but at the end of the day that's all inessential. Just get the Gyros first and foremost. Well for the most part I'm not a local and what you would think of where the restaurant is, it's not. It across the street in an... old service station. I ordered the Philly cheese steak and I was not disappointed. Food came out fast and was delicious. Thesandwich was actually pretty sizeable too. This is more of a Dive restaurant that's take out only. No complaints. Read more
