This is a first class experience all the way; one of those places I would give six stars to if I could. The menu and food are... amazing, as are the drinks and service. The entire staff works in great unison and with efficiency that most restaurants canonly dream of; very impressive. It's a bit pricey here but what you get is culinary greatness. Highly recommended. We come back to 18 Central as often as possible when we visit the Camden/Rockport area. The menu is always different, all dishes... delicious. The variety of oysters is fun. We get one of each kind. Highly recommend! Read more
I found this restaurant while working my way through the Maine oyster trail and it is probably the best stop I have made so far.... It’s beautiful inside and out with knowledgeable and friendly employees. The local oysters and other seafood were fresh andprepared to perfection. Bread pudding is something that shouts old people and dentures but at the recommendation of our serverwe tried it and were not disappointed. Can’t wait to go back! Read more
One of the best meals I have ever had. Everything from the crudo, fried green tomatoes, scallops to the blueberry lemon brûlée... cake were incredible. The service was also exceptional and cannot get a better view of Rockport Harbor. We were beyond happy!!What a great experience. Read more
A wonderful, comfortable, delicious dining experience. Waitstaff is very attentive and helpful. Kitchen is open to the floor and... there is a faint, glorious hint of hardwood in the air from the grill. The menu is eclectic and attractive. There's somethingfor everyone. I had southern fried chicken with collard greens and grits. My wife had a local halibut. My buddy had a BBQchicken special. That was after oysters, clams and shrimp apps and some perfectly mixed cocktails. Dessert was HUGE breadpudding an I had a dram of 12 yr old scotch. So this restaurant has earned its place in the top ten on Rt 1 Camden toThomaston. Hooray for getting back to normalcy. Read more
December 2022: Good food, friendly staff, and well-spaced out tables made for a pleasant evening that felt safe from a pandemic... point of view. I enjoyed the crab salad and day boat scallops. Note: parking spots were hard to find, leave extra time forfinding a spot. Read more
