Visited this past weekend 7/30. Food was spiced perfectly, kid hotdogs were good. IMO serving was a bit small for the price. We... also visited at 2:50 which made service a bit challenging for the staff since they break at 3. My cousin claimed it was the best crawfish he's ever had and it definitely lived up to the hype. We went on a Sunday afternoon... around 230 and it was perfect, no wait , sat down right away and let the feast begin. We ordered some drinks and 9lbs of freshcrawfish. We also got a cucumber salad which was pretty damn good to. The crawfish came out hot fresh and coated with theiramazing butter sauce and spices. We asked for some of the spice rub on the side too and definitely worth it. The are so tenderand spicy you'll love it. The prices are fair and the restaurant was clean. All the staff were friendly and the service wasgood. If you are visiting The corpus Christi area or any where close to Rockport you need to check this place out. Read more
Owner provided sample of new recipe of a super tasty dish I hope he brings on the menu - snow crab bisque. First time customer... we had several items - snow crab plate with 1 lb shrimp and sausage, Dungeness crab plate with same sides, gumbo, shrimpcocktail and the boudin cheese dip. The shrimp cocktail was outstanding as well as the boudin cheese, the gumbo was good. Added1lb of crawfish. Cajun butter was exactly the right choice. The boil had just the right amount of spice. An overall great experience. The food had great flavor and spice. Everything we ate was delicious, but the andouille cheese dip... was awesome, first time anyone in our group ate it. Could have made a meal on just the dip. The stone crabs were a first forme as well, they were great, glad they were in season. Oysters were good, really appreciate the suggestion of horseradish onthem. Shrimp were big and cooked well. Loved the boudin, great flavor. The gentleman that waited on us mostly, was great,answered our questions, and told us how lots of the menu seafood was locally sourced. Overall great experience, wish I livedmuch closer. Atmosphere was perfect, food was excellent, and the service was great. Glad we came to give it a try. The whole time there an... old man was playing guitar and singing. I was just as impressed with him as the food. Really made the atmosphere. We will beback when the mudbugs are in season!! Read more
