Highly suggest the coconut custard. Thoroughly enjoyed mine as did everyone else in our party. We all had something different.... It's not the kind of thing you can really take home to someone very easily though. More the kind of thing you eat there...I'dthink transporting it would be difficult. The frozen custard with Italian ice mixed in is wonderful. Mango!! Coffee/saltedcaramel swirl!! Carmen's is somewhere you take your out-of-town guests. It is unique in the area and a crowd pleaser. Amazing! It was my first time here, but I plan to be a repeat customer. Where I used to live in New Mexico they had a custard... place and I remember thinking I was really going to miss that. This place has provided a beautiful replacement and a better one.Am really happy I decided to come here. When you come up the menu can be a little overwhelming because there are so manydifferent products and flavors. I got the stick bun coffee custard I think it was called and it was delicious! The prices arealso more than fair, you can?t find many places with low prices like here much these days. Most of their cold products come infour sizes and the mini is perfect size for a reasonable sized treat if you are trying to be mindful of size! This is a great place if you're craving some sweet or even savory desserts/snacks. Wife and I came here for the custard, but... ended up trying out the cinnamon pretzel bites and the mango shake too. Pretzel bites came out freshly fried and were a goodsize, crisp texture on the outside, and soft inside. Not sure if I'd get the mango shake again. The staff are friendly,professional, and courteous! Frequented by locals, this place offers an array of tasty custards and Italian ice. They flavors are made by the workers who... come up with the flavors themselves! There is some outdoor seating but not always enough for everyone. There is also a parkacross the street if you prefer to have your Italian ice there. I love that they are always switching flavors out and makingnew ones! It makes it a fun way to try new things. Custards run for one week before changing every Monday. Custard flavors thatwill always be there include vanilla and chocolate. You can also get a sample tasting before purchasing. They also offer pintsand quarts to take home. They even have a discounted section with discontinued packaged custards. My favorite custard has to bethe blueberry, everyone loved it! I wish it was something that stayed on the menu.
