Love this simple and historic bar... supposedly the first licensed MD bar! Great place to dance to the honky tonk very agreeable... atmosphere. The sound system is excellent and very enjoyable. Missed some finger food or even fries to accompany the beer. Couldserve some Margaritas! Arty Hill and band played very tight honky tonk with their telecaster and steel guitars. Read more
This is a very unique venue, every night there is music catering for a variety of tastes. We have been a few times on Saturday... evening and once on a Sunday. We have enjoyed seeing the Rock a Sonics who alway fill the place. There?s a small dance floor andan assortment of seating. The food is limited but there?s a variety of beers to chose from. Wish we had a place like this inColumbia we would definitely be regulars. Read more
This was awesome! It was my first time here but not my last. Apparently it was granted the first liquor lic. in Montgomery... county. I would have like to stay longer and listen to, of all things, Zydeco, would not have imagined I'd here that in MDafter moving here a couple years ago from Louisiana, it was nice to hear it and the band was great!! It was ok but weird. The vibes were weird. They only have beer and wine. No liquor. I had to ask for music. The few patrons that... were there were like over 50. Cozy old style tavern serving a variety of beer. I went to hear a musical group perform. Don't plan to eat there. The food menu... is VERY limited and pre-made. Can be fun evening for a group or for music. Read more
