Great food and excellent service. I was in the mood for Peruvian and ran into my first dilemma deciding between a ceviche or... papa A la huancaina. I went with the papas and they were delicious. Excellent sauce! The menus was really extensive but I wentwith the always flavorful Lomo Saltado. It was very good. The meal came with two sauces to accompany the meal. One a little morespicy than the other. I also had the traditional fruit drink Chicha Morada and I loved it. Read more

A very authentic Peruvian restaurant! For appetizers, I would recommend the tequeños, causa sampler, leche de tiger (the sauce... of ceviche, very sour and salty) and anticucho, but the ceviche was only okay (it didn?t have much flavors when we tried it).For main dish, I would recommend aji de gallina, lomo saltado, perihuela and tacu tacu. For desserts, the lucuma mouse andalfajores are both pretty good, but the picarones is only so so. Overall, we enjoyed eating here and will come back again. Read more

One of the best ceviches in town! It?s a little bit of a drive from DC but it?s worth it. Everything grilled is very good, Pisco... sours are amazing. Soups are out of this world! I really recommend to try this place if you enjoy Peruvian food. Read more

The experience here was horrendous. The service was slow. The food did not taste like it was Made fresh. The yellow sauce was... extremely earthy tasting and overly salty. I have had Peruvian food before and this is not it. How do you manage to mess upChaufa? The donuts in the picture I posted are overpowered by the star anise. On top of that the syrup taste like star anise. This is my personal experience and not representation of the overall quality of the restaurant . Read more

There are two La Limeña places nearby, though this is the larger one. From what Ive seen, they've stopped table service at the... other location and limited the menu, so I went to this one for the first time. Food is definitely delicious. Ive eaten at theother location before and the food is as great as I remember it. Ordered the Ceviche, Cau Cau (which was fantastic), andfinished with Picarones. Chicha was also very refreshing. Place got pretty packed when we were there, so table service was alittle slow, but its understandable. La Limeña is always worth the trip. Read more

Service was slow and somewhat uncertain, ie I requested bread and was told by server he'd check whether it was available--he... never returned with a reply. My question went unanswered until my meal was nearly concluded. I ordered trout w/crispy potato. The fish was very salty, hence the need for bread, and not cooked quite to my liking. It was too wet for me. The crispy potato, yes ONE, was small, flavorless and undercooked. The dish also came with a mound of white rice which was tasty. I ordered therestaurant's version of chicken fried rice for my mom. She ate a few forkfuls, then ate no more. It had a flavor of which onecould easily tire. Chicken pieces insignificant in size and the only other elements were scallions and egg; all of which werescant in proportion to the rice. Not enough soy to flavor. I will not return. Read more
