Amazing little spot and taqueria. This place is quickly becoming my favorite taco joint in the Rockville/Gaithersburg area. They... are generous with the meat and even more generous with the flavor. Probably the best pastor I?ve ever had. You can really tastethe pineapple marinade. And the lengua was so incredibly tender, like filet minon. Yes. That good. Their gorditas wereincredible too. Crispy shell and stuffed with all the goodies (meat, cheese, cream, and lettuce). Can?t wait to come back andtry the birria tacos. Highly recommend!!! You won?t regret it. Read more
Authentic Mexican food! I share with my wife the flor de calabaza quesadilla (really big but delicious), a chorizo gordita... (fried to perfection), and a huitlacoche sope (I haven't had that in a while, also delicious). I want to try the next time tacosand tortas. Read more

Having grown up with Mexican food, it's been frustrating trying so many DC area "Mexican" restaurants that turn out to be... Peruvian or Salvadoran or Honduran. All excellent, but from the wrong continent. Xintli tastes like *home*, and I am going tokeep going back. My favorite part is that as an adult I've cut out meat and dairy for cholesterol reasons, and Xintli has*excellent* selection for vegan and vegetarian diets. I'm not talking about the trendy veggie burgers from Impossible orwhoever; I'm talking about pureed garbanzos, sauteed flores de calabaza, perfectly grilled nopales. We tried the food today for the first time and it did not dissapoint! The tacos were fresh and sumptuous! Their hot salsa was... HOT for real! We tried tacos and sope today but all the items on their menu look fantastic. We will be back to try each of them!Also, their veggie options were amazing! A must try for taco lovers and must go to for vegetarian taco lovers!!! Lastly, theportions were filling and the service, kind and prompt. The people inside were working with their masks on! Wholly molly their tacos are amazing! I have to say that I think these are the best tacos I've ever had in my life. I only... wish I had bought more. They are on the smaller side, but filled with meat. Worth every penny in my opinion. Will definitelybe returning on a regular basis since they are just down the street from where we live. For it being a foodtruck, the food tastes great! I ordered one beef tongue taco and one pastor taco. They were small, but good.... Like the reviews say, they load it up with meat and the meat was delicious. Other than that, not much else to say. There wassome sliced cucumber and radish over the taco with a slice of lime. The order took only 5 minutes to make. I've noticed apattern though. High rating places usually have great food, but smaller portions and higher prices. Like this here food truck.So be weary with the stars, and just go for what you love! (I also realize I need to eat out a lot less... it's expensive, nomatter where you buy????) All and all, if you don't mind the higher price for the delicious, but smaller portions, then be myguest and head on over! You'll enjoy it.
