Lots of flavor, very good Indian cuisine
On October 11, 2022, ordered 9 items for lunch. After spending $130.48 on food in total, If one won't get delicious food,... really very disappointing. Chana Saag, not up to the mark Mutter Paneer, like cooked in milk Vegetable Jhalfrezi, Salt inexcess Yellow Dal Tadka, had to redo again to get some taste I don't know how freshly made all the Naans, Kulcha and Roti. Rotiwas too hard like cardboard. Sorry, very very bad experience. Restaurants credibility depends on the taste of food. Read more

Went here today for lunch. The Lamb Kebab and Goat Curry was just right. Curry offered just the right amount of heat. The... portions could be more for the cost, I think. But then again it's in RVC. Read more
My daughter and I had dinner here for the first time and we really enjoyed it. The restaurant decor was very nice and not at all... old looking as someone commented in their review and the service was excellent. We ordered the curry chicken, curry shrimp,nanand, chickpea fitters and, everything was delicious. We found the portions to be a decent amount and ended up taking home adoggie bag. Overall, good menu, great food and excellent service. We will definitely return. Read more
Decided to go to this restaurant for a birthday dinner & was really excited as the menu was detailed & looked awesome. Once we... arrived we were definitely not impressed as the decor was nice but the place looked old. The restaurant was hot inside like theA/C wasn?t on. The waiter serving our table of 6 was not very helpful with explaining the dishes. The food was average & theportions were small. I Definitely will not go back or order from here again. I don?t recommend this restaurant to dine in. I sawa lot of delivery orders. Maybe that?s the way to go. If you enjoy authentic Indian food and excellent hospitality, then Color of Spices in Rockville Centre needs to be on your go-to... list. The decor is traditional Indian and makes you feel like you stepped into Mumbai. The aromas and foods served wereexcellently prepared and ample portioned. For starters, we ordered the Vegetable Samosa - "A small triangular pastry filled withspiced potatoes and peas," the Assorted Vegetable Platter - "A delicious assortment of vegetable samosa, vegetable pakora, aluki tiki," and three baskets of Naan bread - plain, garlic, and rosemary. For our entrees, we opted for Lamb Vindaloo (for thosewho love heat) as Vindaloo is made with a blend of hot chilies and spices, Tandoori Shrimp (for those who do not), Chicken TikkaMasala (a crowd-pleaser) as it is made with boneless chicken supreme simmered in a creamy tomato gravy with a tasty flavor offenugreek. The sauce is rich, creamy, and has just a touch of heat. Also, we enjoyed Vegetable Biryani -A rice dish with wholespices of cardamom, bay leaf, cloves, cumin seed, raisin, and cinnamon served with Raita - a vegetable yogurt and GobhiManchurian -fried cauliflower and spices. Amazing food, quality meat, the spices are perfect and not too American Indian. It definitely comes with a more traditional... taste and flavor. I love this place and will continue to order from here. My ONLY gripe is that they're very very slow to cookthe orders. Read more
