Since the pandemic, my spouse and I have been to this location on various occasions. Overall the ambiance is nice, and on the... right night the DJ will have your body moving, even if you don't dance. The food there is very good, for what it is, a mix ofSouthwestern Americanized Mexican food. Get the fajitas, get the churrasco, and get the guacamole, highly recommended. Thedrinks, are alright, not a wow, but they do try different recipes to change it up from time to time. I only wish that they had abetter beer selection, bottled or draught. The service is very good, and there is not a moment where someone will not ask ifthere is anything that you need. That might be a bit much for some, but it's better than other places where you can't find aserver or busboy. Nice spot for a Sunday afternoon lunch. Read more
We dined here today for an extremely late lunch or could be an early dinner given we were all stuffed at the end. Friendly and... welcoming restaurant. Good service for a Saturday afternoon. Upbeat and lively ambiance. The guacamole was tasty and thechips had great crunchy texture. Somewhat addictive chips. The food is mediocre after receiving feedback from everyone at ourtable. The shrimp ceviche appears to be packaged shrimp put together with tomatoes, onions and lime juice. We’ve had awardwinning ceviche and this won’t make the cut. Mojitos were delicious, flavorful and smooth hence the four stars. There’s aservice charge when using credit card and overall the price for such simple food is somewhat higher than expected when comparedto Dos Caminos, Rosa Mexicano and Mexicue. Husband’s 50th birthday dinner party 4/9/22 We recently celebrated my husband’s 50th birthday and chose this Mesita location... for a couple of reasons. First, we had been there before and knew the food was great, all fresh and really tasty with plenty ofoptions. Nothing can beat a fresh guacamole with home made chips. Also, because this location has an area for private parties.This room is really nice and it has its own bathroom which was a plus. We received many complements from the guests in regardsto the great food and the service. I was pleasantly surprised with a menu with my husband name and everything. Shot outs to oneof the manager Polo who recommended the place, Jenna for all the help making the reservation and arrangements. Most importantlya big thank you to the staff present on that day. From the moment we stepped there to decorate and set the surprise for myhusband, everyone was so helpful, especially our waitress May and the manager Gerry. The cake was delivered there and they tookcare of it for us. Also made every effort to set everything up and keep a nice surprise for my husband. Mesita Rockville Centerexceeded all my expectations. First time here, the space is very big, the ambiance is very nice and and somber. Music is on and has a fun vibe. Food is... delicious, I recommend the enchiladas. Margarita was bomb too, very strong. Read more
Upscale Mexican restaurant with wonderful service, food, and vibes. Our server was particularly amazing and the food was... amazing. Perfect adaptations to dietary restrictions, such as nut or dairy allergies. The vibe of the restaurant whisks you backto a Mexican street, with amazing lighting and party-level music. Finally, the food is of the best quality. I had the fajita,and the way it is served and cooked is truly amazing. The only downside might be Ojo, the manager, who was a bit rude speakingto us about a drink mix-up, but the etiquette and kindness of the servers certainly makes up for it. Read more
Came here fro Brunch and this place was a pleasant surprise. The ambiance and decor was spot on for the theme. Cocktails were... really good. Sangria was a little weak for my liking, but still very tasty. Food was really good, although the sweet options forBrunch were really sweet [not quite as balanced as I’d hope] Overall, I’d return but maybe stick with their savory options. Read more
