It is a rainy day today. Lots of activity going on here at the ???? Applebee's in Rockwall Texas. They had it decorated red,... white and blue for Veterans Day! It was packed full of Veterans which slowed the service down quite a bit, but that's not theirfault. Loved the food, the service and the people. I ordered the 'Oriental Chicken Salad' Absolutely delicious. The saladwas cold and crispy with a crunch, and the chicken was cut into small bite-sized pieces. I forgot to catch his name, but my server did a phenomenal job lastnight. There being no host, he came and greeted me at the... door, and sat me very politely! The food was great. There was a group of 9 of us though only 5 ordered before the other 4 showed up. The restaurant wasn't busy and there were... servers so not sure if the issues were in the kitchen but a few of us got the wrong items. I ordered a salad while othersordered steaks etc and my salad was MIA. I sat with everyone for 30 minutes watching everyone eat and finally after asking 5x mysalad showed up. Of course everyone was almost done and we had a meeting to get to so after shoveling 1/3 of my plate, I had towrap the rest. The waiter tried to be nice and offer us a discount but the manager said no. No apologies, no discount, nothing.Shame that the mgr didn't see an issue with any of this. Except for the lack of knowledge of the hostess at the door, this was a great experience. Sat at a booth in the bar area,... server was fast and attentive. Refills came without asking. Food arrived quickly and was fresh and hot. Read more
It wasn't busy but service was slow. We weren't in a hurry so no biggie. The chicken tortilla soup wasn't very soup like, more... like chowder. Too many tortilla strips. The white peach sangria was really good as was the the combo appetizer. We'd come moreoften if they served coke products but they were open late. Read more
Tried to treat my daughter to a nice dinner. Their sign says they close at 1AM on Fridays and Saturdays. I showed up to the door... at 1120: PM. Staff didn't even bother to open the door for us. Read more
Wow had Applebee's gone down hill. Everything on the menu is trash. Very understaffed. I recommend you avoid at all cost. ... They have catchy jingles but food and drinks are horrible. Read more
