I always have reservations about restaurants with the word "express" in them, but this place makes some delicious Indian food. ... We just moved to the area and have tried a couple "fancier" places, but Curry Express is way better than what we have tried. I don't know how to rate this. The folks inside are always very nice and the food is tasty and you get a good amount of it. But,... the facility is nasty, nasty, nasty. Close your eyes and imagine you are in another country at a local restaurant with lowerstandards and you might accept it without any complaint. But here in Texas,? I would think the health department would at leastask them to store boxes off the ground and that the dirty clothing and other items not be in the hallway or that the restroomsbe kept clean. Modest place that covers the basic North Indian staples. Good for those wanting a quick takeaway on their way home. Spice... levels can be customized upon request. There are three lunch combos each with an incremental overladen serving spoon. The termBistro is probably a nod to some socio-economic group but has no relevance to an authentic use of the term. Unfortunately, first and last time I'll ever try ordering take out from here. Upon reviewing such positive reviews here, we... decided to try it out since we've never had Indian food before. The pictures of food looked delicious so we ordered almost 60$worth of food, vegetable briyani, butter chicken, chicken Tikka, 2 samosas, and 2 orders of flavored nan. We picked up, droveall the way home, started serving our dinner, food smelled and looked amazing!! But after serving myself the butter chicken, Iimmediately saw a black hair in the orange sauce. I fished it out and had my stomach turn! The place was already closed but Ifigured id try calling and figure out why this happened. After being passed to several people and put on hold I was told id haveto wait until they reopened on Tuesday to receive a refund since they were closed but after I voiced my concerns he agreed towait there until I arrive to administer the refund. I arrived 45 min after close, brought the food and showed them the hair wefound, they then decided to refund me the full amount and tried offering us canned sodas to compensate but at that point I hadnot ate all day, I was very upset our dinner was ruined and still have to wait several more days to see if I even receive themoney back I just couldn't accept anything more than just my money back. I hope others are cautious and check their food moreoften because I would have been extremely sick had I actually pulled that hair from my mouth. Absolutely no one wants to findhair in their food, just the worst experience. Although they said it was the first time its happened, I think i just happened tobe the only one to see the hair through the thick sauce.
