The food was great. But the service left me not wanting to come back. Maybe I was to early 8am.
My experience today was so disappointing! The placed looked dirty with multiple tables needing to be clean. Placed looked to be... understaffed. Only one girl running around cleaning, taking orders and bringing the food out. While others stood around in theback part or the kitchen. The carbonation on the soda machine wasn?t working! You can see mold around the ice part. I orderedtwo plates of chicken pesto pasta. Only had 3 small pieces of chicken .they didn?t bring out the side bread that comes with themeal. When I asked for it took over 15min to get it. The girl running the whole placed asked a few employees to help but theywould disappear to the back. I had to ask again. I asked for a side plate to share food with my toddler, that was never broughtout. The only plate that came out right was a toddler cheese pizza.. Love the bakery and the sweets, but everything else is too greasy for me and heavy. Good place to eat if you?re extra hungry!
La Madeleine serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu contains gluten-free and vegetarian options. There is also a... children's menu. The food is superb. We had turkey sandwiches with pesto pasta on the side. Best of all, however, are thedeserts. The Lemon Madeleines, chocolate croissants, and key lime cheesecake are to die for. The atmosphere of this Cafe is warm and inviting. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I only had a croissant and coffee so... it's tough to judge fully. However it was the best croissant I've ever had. This is saying something since I've spent yearsliving and touring Europe and Canada. I'll update this when I go here in a few weeks. UPDATE: Came back last week and thisweek (twice) and selected several pastries. They're so good! The food is always excellent! I think it'll be a must-have eachmonth when I visit the area. NOTE: I have changed my rating from 4 to 5 stars because of the consistent excellent experienceswith the restaurant, its staff, and especially their food. I love coming here!! they made everything right so i know this place is just following orders from the higher ups BUT I have been here for so many... years and the past 1.5 years almost every store has made more and more decisions that impact the experience. they changed theparisien sandwich from having beautiful crunchy and fluffy baguette halves as their bread and changed it to flat no texturesandwich bread. they have also increased their prices by a lot, and have been starting to forget to add additional ingredientsthat come with the soups so i have to check every time before i leave. i would only expect a company to raise prices afterimproving the customer experience not worsening it Read more
