Just stopped to check it out. Decent size tacos, I had the trailer park and my husband had the democrat. Both super flavorful, ... good amount of meat. The food has a heat kick to it. So, my 11 year old couldn't eat his burrito, even though I asked for nothing spicy. Other than... that, we enjoyed the fried Avocado tacos the best. Read more
Hype is legit, just for the queso if nothing else. Could literally drink it, somehow made queso really seem "fresh", crazy.... Tacos also tasty, fried avocado and shrimp were even for best bite. Sit at the bar for full service and skip the line. Read more
My wife and I have been coming to Torchy's since they first came up to the Dallas area from Austin. Since day one we were... hooked. Since the pandemic started our offices has been closed as we are working from home now. The closest Torchy's from ourhouse is about an hour away. So we haven't been to a Torchy's in over two years. So we found out that they were putting in alocation in Rockwall, we were elated. We knew that first week was going to be crazy, so we avoided opening week. But we stoppedby the week after. The wait wasn't too bad. But it was still packed. But it went pretty quick. The woman working the door wasreally nice and pleasant as was the the person taking the order. We get what we knew we wanted, so the time at the register wentpretty quickly as well. My only issue was the didn't have the taco of the month and they didn't have the refried black beans.When we ordered the exact reason was " we just opened, so we don't have them yet". I get it and the young woman behind theregister was very sympathetic. We proceed to our table and our food was to us in less than five minutes. I think my favorite thing about Torchy?s is how quick they are. From the time we ordered to our food and drinks delivered was... less than 5 minutes. This was perfect since we were dining with a little one who can get Andy after just a short while. Wevisited during happy hour so I ordered myself and my husband a small margarita. I?m not sure what size we were given (theyweren?t that big considering ice took up most of the cup) but I realized later that I was charged for 2 large which must be whythe bill was bigger than I expected. The last time I visited this location the guy at the register told me they had specials onTuesday?s however this was not the case. I was expecting a cheap and quick dinner but was disappointed by how much it cost. Thetacos were good drinks were alright but a ton of ice as I already mentioned and paid for 2 large when I asked for small anddon?t know what size I actually received. Read more
