First impression walking in was uncomfortable and quite frankly sad. Allowing 16 year old snobby little girls in skin tight... white dresses and sneakers to stand by the door and “greet” your guests is just inappropriate. These kids couldn’t be mucholder than our daughters ands I would be appalled if this was their first job. They do not hold the door, or even say hello orwelcome… if standing in the way and staring at your guests is their job, then they nailed it. Whomever is in charge ofgreeting your guests should really take a good look at what they’re allowing here. We almost turned around and walked out forthat reason alone…which is too bad because we love the food and drinks here. These “greeters” need to dress appropriatelyand for goodness sake put a smile on their faces…use the words “hello” or “welcome” would go a long way. My daughterssaw how they were dressed and comport themselves and it’s a horrible example. How could you allow such rude behavior right atthe front door? First impression is a big deal. Wearing appropriate clothing is a whole other topic. For this reason we will notbe coming back to this location. Please coach your greeters, I feel sorry for them that they think this is okay. It’s not anight club… or is that what you’re turning wood n tap into nowadays? Just inappropriate and inexcusable…. It’s a shamebecause the food is great and the wait staff does a great job. Sad to ruin the whole experience by allowing these kids to paradearound with a chip on their shoulders and sour looks on their faces. As a whole this chain is fantastic. This particular restaurant including the bartender who served us beer and burgers for lunch... was fantastic. Quality of the food is fantastic. Some people complain that the menu has been trimmed down but I love that.Sometimes there's too many options which means they're not cooking anything well. This restaurant has a fantastic menu withgreat options. Good beer selection as well. Highly recommend. Read more
We stopped during a road trip. We were pleasantly surprised by the food and the service. I had chicken nachos and they were... delicious. They have indoor seating, but the outdoor one was quite nice and the servers were great. Read more
The service was great. Ordering off the Spring menu, I got a noodle dish. I was expecting a larger portion and the sauce was a... little too acidic. It's not like it tasted like acid, it was just noticeably taking away from the flavor. Besides that, theatmosphere was amazing and besides the acidity, I really enjoyed the meal. Read more
Enjoyed my first pumpkin beer of the season in the expanded patio section here. We were making the stop on a road trip to... southern CT and this was perfect because allowed us to bring the dog. It was too hot to leave her in the car! Service was prettygood, and quick even though there was a steady flow of tables inside and out while we were there. Menu selection was decent --salads weren't terribly healthy sounding with almost all including cheese, egg and bacon but the veggie wrap was a solid choiceto satisfy my veggie craving! First time there and i must say it was a great experience. I havent had a Bison Burger in a long time and this was full of... flavor and not too greasy. The sauce was also very good. I had a side of parmesan risotto and it was the first risotto i everhad. Also very tasty! The real amazing dish was the strawberry cheesecake in the mason jar. The presentation of the grahamcrackers was a bit odd but once you immerse them they are great. Lots of flavor and i liked the marinade. Very good in housedish. Never had anything like it. Wood N Tap is on the Silas Dean Highway right next to 91, so it's in a great location to meet friends/family. They have an... awesome Happy Hour - weekdays 3 to 6 & daily 9 to close. They have signature cocktails for 4$ and 5$, wine for 5$ and a varietyof beer that varies in price. They also have discounted appetizers on the happy hour menu. I love visiting for happy hour, butI also enjoy staying for a meal. Their menu is HUGE and there's something for everyone. Last time I was in I had the VeggieHummus Wrap + Grilled Chicken.
