Dining room closed, tea machine broken so no tea, no new frosty. Ride employee at the drive threw window. We've been there 3... times in the last 2 months. Couldn't tell you how the food is. Even tho website and the doors have the hours, they close whenever they see fit. I'm in town... for work and have been over there 5 times in two weeks. Before 10 pm. 4 times it has been closed. The last time they said theycould only take cash, then when I said that's fine they waited 5 minutes to answer, then when it hit 10pm told me thatunfortunately they are now closed. At least take the signs down and change the site. Close whenever the hell you want, just letpeople know before they check and see you're supposed to be open then drive all the way there. This is the third time I've been to this location and there's been a problem. First the line was not moving. They asked us to... wait and preceded to serve every car in front of us their order, which went very slowly. Then the lady tells us to go ahead withour order. I'm asking questions, only to hear a guy in the background tell the woman on the speaker to tell us "we would justhave to wait, they were doing a shift change.". That would have been fine had we not already been waiting and told to go aheadwith our order. From the previous most recent reviews, this seems like a regular occurrence, that isn't being addressed. We arrived with no one in the drive through but one person who was at the window. We tried to go inside of the restaurant but... the doors were locked and we were told it was because they were short staffed. We went along through the drive through. Weordered 4 meals and waited approximately 20-25 minutes for our food at which point we asked for a refund. The employee told uswe could not get a fefund because the system was down. We paid in cash. The employee ran to the rear of the store as we wererecording at this point. We saw at least 4 employees in the store. We then heard them laughing asking "What are you recording?"And making statements about police. We asked for a refund and were told "Your food is right here..." The manager came to thewindow as an employee came out of the back of the restaurant and began pacing the area behind us. The manager then told us thatwe were making a scene and said "You are making a lot of people upset by asking for this refund." They threw the food we hadordered in the trash. We went to McDonald's across the street and got our food in 8 minutes....Great job Wendy's. We have beentrying to get a response from corporate since and have had no luck. We recently spoke to the GM of the store which was verydefensive. When the store phone was answered we were met with "You know we have caller ID right?" My husband picked up dinner for us today. My burger was so burnt, I could not eat it. Considering I live in Burgaw, it's a whole... trip to go back, yet when I call, it says "the destination voicebox is full" and then hangs up. This is ridiculous! I don'tnormally do reviews, but this situation has me mad! The only reason I gave them 2 stars is that their food is slowly becomingworse and worse. I used to truly enjoy their food. But now I can't even get up with them without having to drive all the way outthere again! If things change, I'll change my rating! Read more
On our way to Wilmington during a hellacious storm, decided to stop for a bite while it poured. Kind of a funky drive thru... with only 4 ahead of us. Took a good bit to get our order taken but we noticed a currently hiring sign in the window. Nomatter how long it took, it was so worth it. Those young ladies were so nice and with it. Didn't matter if they were shortstaffed or not. And the food? Probably the best Wendy's I've ever had! I work in healthcare, so I'm used to hearing the bad,but believe in giving praise when it's due. Dining room closed with no sinage to inform customers, just a locked door. Looked into the window only to see employees lounging... in the dining room. We took our business/money to Hardee's a few doors down, sat down and had a great burger. Read more
Its the only Wendy's in this area and NO MATTER WHAT They mess up my order. I eat very frequently and know this entire state... for food. Something wrong at this Wendy's. Maybe because it connected to the gas station the employees are like VA Workers.Seriously That BAD. Manager is never there always getting paid to be there but never over seeing anything to make sure theemployees are functioning properly and orders made with minimal mistake. Read more
