I have to start off by saying my server was absolutely fantastic and so was my bartender. The music was great the atmosphere was... great. I was with a client and order dinner I was very specific that we were sharing and I wanted steaks served sliced. Theycame whole. I asked that they would be sliced and I was told that the chef refused that it compromise the integrity of thestakes. I then explained they could either slice the steaks or they could take them as I was very specific when I ordered themhow I wanted them served. They then took them back again and the owner had to cut them in half. I don’t know how to shove acompromise in the integrity as my medium rare steak was more medium. I felt so bad for my waitress I just accepted the steaksand eat them as is. My side dishes were less than memorable my asparagus was actually unedible. I took dessert home to go and itwas so mediocre I could eat from the hotel refrigerator and it would be the same quality. Haven’t been to this establishment since they were in the Hood on Detroit. It was probably better back then, I wasn’t too... impressed for the prices I’m paying. Both orders were ordered medium well, one came out OK while the other one came outbasically rare. The sides were barely warm and the bread was extra hard. However, the bill sure was upwards of $100. Great atmosphere great staff. Unfortunately, my steak was way overcooked.
This place is genuinely awful. Nothing is seasoned. Miserable presentation. I would say the food is not even average, but... below average, and they charge premium prices. Only edible thing on the menu is the filet. My grandparents were also loyalcustomers here for many years bringing large parties, events, etc, and no longer go because of ownership. It was the happiestday of my life when we started going elsewhere for family events - I actually enjoy them now. Read more
We had absolutely stellar service from our waiter Chris. A majority of the people in our party were elderly including my uncle... Elmar. Chris took amazing care of us. My aunt and I had the Prime rib with Bernaise sauce, my cousin had a steak with a greatloaded baked potato, my father loved the Scampi dinner. What we did not realize was this was literally going to be my uncle'slast meal. He had the half slab of ribs and fries. He loved them. He passed away two days later so we were incredibly gratefulfor the attentive and patient service that Chris gave us. Will definitely return to Ferris Steakhouse soon. Read more
Ferris's has been an installation in the Cleveland restaurant scene for a reason. Prices are reasonable and the food is great!... The scallop appetizer is one of my favs. Read more
