First time here, you almost need to know where it is if you are going to find it. It is off Walnut, hidden between a few other... businesses. This is a very well decorated and clean restaurant. I was a little surprised as there was only one other table withpeople there at 6:00pm on a Friday. A server met me promptly and was very kind walking me through the menu and letting me sampletheir punches. I chose the Tamarind and it was very good. I had the flank steak with sausage and 2 Pupusas. The steak wasseasoned very well and cooked perfectly but the sausage was even better. The Pupusa were very good as well. Service wasexcellent and the price was very fair for dinner. Read more

Great food and service. Unfortunately El Jicaro does not have a lot of vegetarian or vegan options. I had two sides and an... appetizer - the beans and the rice, and the fried yuca. Unfortunately the yuca came with pork but they were not mixed so ifyou?re vegetarian or vegan make sure you ask them not to put meat on the plate. Having said all that, the food was great and theyuca was fried to perfection. Read more

???????????? from the same people as Havana Tropical Grill in DTR. Food is prepared fresh so be prepared to wait 30 mins or so,... on a slow day. That being said it is worth the wait. Friendly staff. The bean dip appetizer they brought to the table wasdelicious. I would highly recommend the shrimp in creme sauce. With the fresh griddled tortillas, it was simply amazing. Read more

This is one of the best restaurant experience I had in NWA with in last 6 years. Let's first talk about food, I went there for... pupusas and they were awesome. Many popular choices of filling were available. My wife and kid are vegetarian, so we orderedLoroca and Calabasas pupusas for all of us. My son ordererd potato empanadas. I got beans and pork pupusa. My wife orderedchille rellano. Everything was awesome, pupusas especially were very tasty, I wish I could eat more of them but they are sofilling that 1 or 2 is enough. For my indian friends out there, if you ever wondered how corn flour paranthas would be, trypupusas, I bet you will like it better than paranthas. The decor is very simple and clean, there is a big bar that I will trysometime in next visit. The high light of our visit was the fresh juice and horchata. They were really good, and she gave ussamples before we could choose and ordered. Read more
