We usually LOVE this restaurant. Unfortunately customer service wasn't a priority today. I always order the "wimp" salsa w... Cilantro. Instead, the "eyelash" server told me they make it (the regular salsa the restaurant brings out) fresh daily. Idisregarded the unrelated statement. I REPEATED I would like to order the no spice salsa that I order EVERYTIME. Then, like Iwas a CHILD she asks, "Have you tried it???" I replied, "No, but thank you for your help." She tossed a "Your welcome" whilewalking away. So...before ordering we left. ???? My husband just reported another server was actually bringing a differentsalsa as we were leaving. I had no idea because not one of the two servers verified that we would actually get what we askedfor. After the rudeness, I wouldn't have stayed anyway. Its customer service. Someone needs training. Our first time at this particular location. We are very familiar with their locations around Atlanta. Wasn't disappointed with... any of our order as most occasions. The steak in the fajitas are the best of any Mexican restaurants I have been too besides JoeT. Garcia's in Ft Worth, Texas. Obviously, the Adult beverages most be excellent if I base my opinion on the parking outside. Let's set the scene - "Empty" restaurant with nobody at the bar. Walked in and asked for a table for 8. Was told it would be... about ten minutes. My bride decided she wanted a drink while we waited. After about 20 minutes and way TMI from the lady behindthe bar, we got our table! While walking to the table we pass no less than 7 employees doing who-knows-what. Rolling napkins,laughing and eating. Our server came and we asked for more chips, for the rest of our table, as we had rec'd ours at the bar."Oh, yeah... The chip lady will bring some more out." That was where I knew we had chosen the wrong destination. This level ofservice continued throughout the meal that took 1.5 hrs, not to eat and enjoy friends and family, but to wait mostly. I havefamily in Rome, and they say it has NEVER been as bad as it was for my visit. The food was okay at best and the service wasabout a 2 star level. Salsa was delicious. Hopefully, if we do go back, the place is packed and if I wait for ev-ery-thang againI can excuse it in my head. Read more

Was visiting friends in Georgia and celebrating a birthday , she wanted Mexican food and everyone said this was their favorite.... Had the steak street tacos. The meat was tender and flavorful, the rice and beans cooked just right. Everyone had either tacosor burritos and all enjoyed their meals. Margaritas were good as well. Service was good. We ordered take out for someone thatcouldn't join us. And they enjoyed the food as well. Excellent bottomless chips and salsa . Mild and spicy were both flavorful. Ide definitely go back if in town. Every time I have ever been to La Parilla, they have always done well in every aspect. They have always been kind and friendly,... quick to take orders, quick to fill orders, and fairly quick to check on you and bring refills. The main reason I go the LaParilla though is the good food! I don't hardly even care for Mexican food but I love this place! You will find it will be worthyour money and time! Read more
