We been going here for years, our fave is the roast beef with nacho cheese & pretzel. Food was usually good but sometimes could... be overcooked. The service can be a hit or miss, but really disappointed this memorial weekend with the service. --- Edit7/22/22 Okay we came up to Roseau again, Gene's used to be our favorite place to go but now we'll never go back for food ordrinks ya'll blew it forreal. We went there after the derby, they weren't super busy, a fair amount of people not all the tableswere full until after we got there. But we sat there for 5-10mins waiting to get our order taken so I went up to ask, she cameto our table& took our order. okay great! 5mins later we get our pretzel, the guy gave us extra pickles which we order but partof the pretzel was cold. We didnt get our drinks, so we wait, another 5-10mins we get our burger, okay seems good we got 2roasts beef both on naan bread? which we didnt order.. so they guy brings it back and the lady comes over like oh you didntorder naan bread right, we're like no. we also ask for our drinks, we ordered water & cherry coke. So my sis is eating herburger, shes sees its so pink, inside is halfway raw.. she doesnt say anything cause you know we already feel uncomfortableabout the naan bread on the roast beef, we didnt ask for naan. Okay so then 5mins later we get our right roast beefs onhamburger buns! great, perfect! with extra pickles and we finally get our drink after we've eaten half our food. We werereallyyy disappointed in this sevice and food today. I'm sorry but these 2 employees have been working at genes for years, ya'llshould know how to handle rushes, busy nights & especially know how to cook the food properly. Don't just treat the people atthe bar good. We used to go to Gene's a lot when we lived here, and now its really bad service and uncooked food.
