Tried this place for the first time today. First off, they have amazing Gluten Free options & as a person with Celiac I am so... grateful for that. Plain and simple this "BBQ" joint needs to learn how to make good BBQ. Firstly, they don't make brisket or ribs, which were I'm... from are STAPLES of good BBQ cooking, but they made pulled pork and chicken so we gave it a try. I've eaten more than my shareof pulled pork over the years and this was easily the lowest quality(high fat content) and least flavorful(only flavor was thesweet sauce over the outside) the chicken tasted like it was cooked the day before and kept on the counter. The cornbread wasdense, and not in a good way, I'm glad it wasn't sweet but I wish it had flavor and didn't seem like leftovers. The mashedpotatoes are instamash which would be okay if the serving wasn't literally two tablespoons worth. The brownie was okay. I giveit one star for drive through service, one star for the speed in which it was prepared, and one star for the nice folks whoserved us, but if I rated on the food alone it would be a 1-2 star. For someone who ain't from Roseburg it sure made a badimpression on what quality of food is available. Next time I'll swing by Carl's Jr. Read more
GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS!!!! it's always amazing to find a restaurant that is gluten free aware. All GF options are clearly marked.... And on top of it. The food is amazing. I had a loaded small pulled pork sandwich, (loaded includes garlic slaw and grilledonions) and I'm glad i ordered a small, as it was huge. My kids enjoyed it a well and asked that we remember this place as agreat restaurant to stop at on the road trip to grandma's. We will definitely be back. Oh! And they offered a cookie for mydog! We were in Roseburg recently tending to the death of her mother and we ordered from Smoking Friday's barbecue. We had the ... pulled pork sandwiches and they were delicious. The pork was very flavorful and the buns were soft. I would order there again ina heartbeat and if you're ever in Roseburg, Oregon, please stop there. You won't regret it. Great little drive in. The strawberry lemonade was very good. Enjoyed the pulled pork sundae. The $28 family meal is a bit... pricey for what you get. Wish more of the items were homemade but it is a tiny little joint! The tri tip tasted like it wasfrom the day before, meat has a distinct taste when it has been from leftovers! The pulled pork was great. The bbq sauce wasgood and had a little spice to it. Loved the baked beans. The customer service was top notch for us. It can sometimesoutweigh the taste of the food. Delicious, very, very tasty and fast hot meal.$5/small ,$7big mashed potatoes barbeque Sundays. Perfect for a quick fill on the... go. It has just" to go"n not a seat in restaurante. There are about 2 tables outside, if you can spend few minutes. I haven'tseen a restroom. It was impressive to see that behind our car, as we been served, there was another car waiting, and right theway ,someone came out and took the order from the people behind us. Very fast service! Stopped here for lunch on the way home from CA and I?m so glad we did! We had pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, slaw, corn... muffins and dinner rolls. Everything was delicious and the staff were so friendly. They even gave us some brownies to enjoy forthe rest of the drive home. Will definitely stop by again. Read more
