The sandwiches here are excellent. I usually get the BLT and everything is always fresh. The bread is freshly made every time... and the bacon is cooked perfectly. I have also tried their soups, recommend those as well. To top it off, it is superaffordable. I end up paying less than at subway for higher quality. Read more
Heard about this place through a friend at work. Ended up ordering a Salvatore sub with pasta salad. Everything was absolutely... phenomenal, easily the best sub I've had in forever. My only complaint was that there was a bit too little meat that it ended upbeing overshadowed by how good the cheese, sauce and spices were.. However even the meat on it's own was one of the single bestcuts of meat I've ever had.. They also gave me a free lemon cookie which was great. Definitely will come back???? Read more
We stopped in today wanting to try something new. Stumbled upon this GEM! Wow! My boyfriend and I each got their Handmade... sandwiches. We also got their pizzas to go. These Pizza?s we?re amazing! Their sandwiches were so delicious! We will definitelybe returning!! Also? try their Lemon Cookies. I myself, am not a huge fan on Lemon, however they changed my view as these justmelt in your mouth!! Read more
This was possibly the best Italian sandwich I?ve ever had. Small things like balsamic on the sub AND they salt the tomatoes... before putting them on makes this a truly unique sandwich worthy of the trip. In a small business park but a great find. I willbe back! Read more
Just found this place. You will not be disappointed with the food, service nor prices. Mounds of food given, I ordered the... meatball sandwich with provolone and an Italian sub (both pictured here). They taste as good as the look. I rarely giveanyplace a 5 star but this place takes the cake. There is limited seating inside, just a couple tables and hard to find fromLake street, it's tucked away. True Italian deli! Update 11/2/17. Website and front door says they close at 5pm. At 4:30pmdoors were locked no one around. Too bad, loss of one star. Read more
Stopped by their booth at the 47th Annual Country Christmas Arts & Craft Show at Crystal Lake South High School in Crystal Lake,... IL today. The foccacia breads we purchased from Elena's are amazing. Our friends picked up some cookies, biscotti and SwedishFlop and said the same. Their booth was very busy but they were so friendly.
