Pick a different spot. If Novita Bistro & Lounge is packed and you need another place, do NOT make the mistake of coming ... picking this instead. It started off great until they start telling you that dont have whatevers on the menu. Even what Iordered had changed and without telling me they swapped it out with something else and said "sorry we didnt have that." Insanewait time. Took over an hour to bring out the food. Falling alsseping sitting there When I got up to leave, the food suddenlyappeared. I didnt even wanna argue with the overly priced bill on food that we didnt even order. Paid the bill and couldnt waitto leave. Sadly unsatisfied. The managers walking around were very polite. Read more

My wife and I went there for our anniversary tonight, as soon as we walked in we were greeted like family, this was the first... time we were there, by Mary, good start. The place is very clean and inviting, with a great atmosphere, soft music, nicelyspaced tables, and comfortable. I had the deep fried spare ribs for an appetizer and they were enough to make you want to comeback again, nice menu and good prices, and even better food, this is a gem in the heart of Metuchen, and we WILL be back. This Bistro a Jewel. As soon as you walk in, the ambiance, comfort, gentleness elegant style&design calms you. The owners greet... and welcome you with warmth & sincerity. The menu is mouth watering and the food is amazing. There is also outside diningavailable. Parking is good too. The service was amazing, attentive and timely. The elegant touches of decor in the dining areatruly reflect the time and Love put into creating such a warm and inviting atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable and It'sBYOB. My meal was so filling I didn't have room for dessert which means I'll be back for a taste the apple cobbler. There isalso a weekend Brunch and the space is available for special events or Celebrations. Amazing place. Great food. Great atmosphere. Kids night is great and the staff was great with the kids.
This resturant reminds me of my dining experiences in New Orleans. The food is well prepared and the service is friendly. It's... right in the heart of Main Street Metuchen so you can people watch if you get a window seat. The owners came around and madesure the kids meals were prepared just to their liking. Went to Bishops Bistro tonight. Spring rolls, cod sliders, duck, oxtail, By the Bayou (sausage and shrimp), sea bass. Everything... was good. We will definitely be back. The waiter could use some practice though. Read more
