AUTHENTIC ITALIAN- I ordered the chicken parmigiana to share with my daughter that included a freshly prepared salad and a side... of garlic bread. Our salad was made of crisp lettuce, bright green peppers and perfectly ripe tomatoes(sadly no cucumbers). Thegarlic bread arrived sliced and warm with the perfect blend of butter and seasoning. Simplicity of Italy is the first thought Ihad biting into my chicken parm and pasta. Antonio?s Pizzeria?s gravy reminds me of my Nonnas - È deliziosa ???????? Wanted to patronize a long standing local business while visiting my home town but was a little disappointed. The cheese pizza... was great, fluffy dough and well seasoned sauce but the veggie pizza tasted like frozen spinach on top and the dough can becomesoggy and wet. I was also bummed I ordered an eggplant parm sub with vodka sauce which they upcharged $3 and then put a drop ofsauce. Dryyyy sub was a major disappointment. Eggplant was thin and crispy breading. Small bar. Small dining room. Huge menu and flavor. It's your neighborhood pizza joint with ALL the extras. I sat at the bar to... wait for my food and ordered a drink. A few minutes later I was in a long conversation with someone who was clearly known at therestaurant and the staff started to join in as well welcoming me to the area and chatting. I'm new to the area and stopped into Antonio's for a couple of slices to go, after picking up a bottle of wine next door. The... place was clean and friendly and I noticed the counter seating and beer selection. I'll be back to experience that, I'm sure!The pizza was good. I prefer a thinner crust, however, the cheese and sauce had the right flavors. Thumbs up! Read more
