Neat place. Has been around for many years and has some older photos on walls inside that show the former SP railyard (across... street) in past decades. Same with photos of some railroad employees. I went in this afternoon and had the hot pastrami with fries and the prices were solid and the food was decent with fair... portions. The pastrami was over cooked wouldn?t call it burned but close they must have had five people working so no excusesfor the dirty tables the whole place is in need of a deep cleaning and some fresh paint the pictures on the wall need to berefreshed with new frames and straightened. Oh my gosh! These chicken tacos were BOMB! Soooo much meat on the taco and the tortilla bomb too! Salsa was also... delish! Apparently there is an Elk Grove location as well! Will be making both locations new lunch in destinations! Read more
You must have already heard about Roundhouse tri-tip tacos or you wouldn't be reading this review. The tri-tip tacos are so... good, they made it on Yelp's American Top 100 places to eat. They are loaded with meat, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. The Texasstyle smoker exuberates the barbecue smell to draw you into the deli. They operate in a deli-style atmosphere; where you orderfrom the selection posted on the overhead menu, pay and pick-up your order when ready. It's a small place with limited seating,but the food is excellent. It's not a great date spot, since it's located in a housing neighborhood.
