The Cheese Steak Shop is an authentic Philly cheesesteak experience. The cheesesteaks were steaming hot, savory and flavorful.... The sandwiches are filled with generous helpings of meat, melted American cheese and a combination of sweet and hot peppers inan Amoroso roll. The food was delicious, but I couldn't get over how grungy the restaurant felt. All the tables were grimy, thefloor was sticky, the one bathroom available was dirty and all the walls were greasy and had questionable items stuck to them. Iwould recommend The Cheese Steak Shop do a deep cleaning in their restaurant, since no one wants to eat a meal in a grungyrestaurant. Read more
Terrible service. Food was ready when I got there, but was advised that it wasn't ready. Then waited for 20 minutes. I enquired... again whereupon they found it. It was cold, they wouldn't do it again, unless I was willing to wait on 15 other orders that wasahead of me. But at this point it had been an hour since I had ordered and no one was ahead of me. The guy who was waiter or employee of restaurant was impolite and unprofessional, when I asked for my order, he throgh it on the... table, when I asked if everything is in the bag, again he gave me a very bad attitude, he must have a very bad day, myrecommendation for him is to take a day off if he is not felling well. I'm probably going to get flack for not giving them 5 stars because everyone I know loves this shop. They make a solid... sandwich. I got regular Philly with mushrooms and sweet peppers. I was not expecting the sweet peppers to be pickled in sugar.Like squishy candy in my meat sandwich. I did not enjoy that. I did not see the ability to order just normal peppers. Mysteakfries were also not cooked through. I was only able to eat about 5 of them. I see the appeal, but being the only person inthe store it would have been nice to get some more input and suggestions from the employees so that I might have avoided thecandy peppers. Read more
The Motown Philly was just so INCREDIBLE! First time here and I mean just every bite melted in my mouth. Delicious! Their bell... peppers are marinated in some sort of sweet & spicy recipe, I love it! After my workout, I?ll be grabbing another before theyclose ???? Read more
King size always worth getting. The one with sweet peppers is the Gilroy and the other one is the Hoagie.
Have been searching for this place as many have closed recently. Having eaten a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich from Philly a... couple of weeks back - this place comes pretty close to the real deal. Read more
