I am so disappointed. I?ve been a loyal customer for decades but I won?t be ripped off. Tonight I was unable to place my order... due to a $15 minimum order charge (even though my total was well over $15 with tip). Personally, I find that to be extremelyhigh and it must be an error. I tried to send a message through the website to avoid a public review like this but it wouldn?tgo through, so this is my only option to voice my concerns. I am specifically looking to spend less than $15 to feed one personevery time I eat take out and I?m sure most others are, too. Read more

I will never order from this place again. I use to order a few times a week. The delivery drivers were always polite, always... rang my bell and always came to my apartment door. For the extra care, I'd always tip $5. Tonight was a world of difference, Iordered and waited. In the process, my phone died and I charged it. I noticed it was getting late and turned my phone on andchecked it. I listened to the message from the delivery driver that never rang my bell. So, I call Checkmate apologizing thatmy phone was dead. And was going to explain that all the other delivery drivers from years of me having deliveries always rangmy bell. However, I was rudely interrupted and was not able to speak. My family and I have been going there for years . Every owner has totally been super friendly and kind and the food is amazing.... Everytime either I pick it up the owner says ? tell your dad I hope that he is doing well.? The pizzas are amazing and the wrapsare as well. Read more
I love this place! Delicious pizza! The dough is made fresh daily and you can tell the friendly staff put their hearts into it.... I've enjoyed pizza from NYC to NJ and beyond. The Checkmate Cafe can compete with the best of them. And they offer a variety ofother meals. Checkmate! Read more
The guys here have an attitude. Deal with it. They're really, kinda funny. The food is really good. Just don't make eye contact.
