On Friday 10/21/2022, we held our daughter and new son in law’s rehearsal dinner in the upstairs room at Thyme. Pam arranged... for us a 3 course, sit down dinner with unlimited wine, soft drinks, and beer that was truly wonderful. The attention to detail, food sensitivities, and service were top notch. The food was so incredibly delicious and everyone was well fed and happy. Theservers were so lovely and attentive. We couldn’t have asked for more. If you are looking for a venue for a private party, keep Thyme in mind and contact Pam. If you are just going for dinner, you can’t go wrong, either. We tried the restaurantprior to booking our party and we were extremely pleased with the food and service and that was our deciding factor to book ourparty. Thyme was one of the highlights of our very special weekend. Read more

Visiting from Florida and staying with my brother-in-law in Mill neck and meeting friends from Forest Hills. Read the reviews... and chose Thyme for dinner. A charming old house overlooking a lake. We ere fortunate to have Leonard as our server, superb, attentive and very personable. Surprising we all chose starters instead starters and entrees. My wife loves crab cakes so sheselected the CRISPY JUMBO-LUMP CRAB CAKE, Jicama & Apple Slaw, Chipotle Aioli , excellent. I opted for the SEARED RARE TUNA,Seaweed Salad, Avocado Wasabi Aioli, Pickled Cucumber, Plum Sweet Soy Emulsion and also the CRISPY CALAMARI, Baby Arugula, RedOnion, and Peach Chili Vinaigrette . Both were superb. We also shared a WARM BAKED BRIE WITH APPLES, Puff Pastry, OrganicGreens, Red Seedless Grapes, and Raspberry Coulis, very good. For desserts, tough choice but we chose the Peanut Butter CrunchCake, unreal and Flourless Chocolate Truffle with Vanilla Gelato. Can't wait to come back to New York and dine at Thyme. Read more

I went to brunch with my two friends on a Sunday. We didn't have a reservation but we were there right when they opened. I would... have loved to leave five stars because the waitress, thr brunette hostess and all of the staff ASIDE from the blonde hostesswere absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious and the drunks were perfect. The blonde hostess however informed usimmediately at 1130 that she needed the table at 1pm, we said no problem. She then felt the need to rudely remind us more thantwice before 1230pm thay they needed the table at 1pm. The second time she rudely beoight it up, it was approximately 1145am andshe asked to ask our friend, whonwas in the parking lot, what her order was. Even after explining that our friend would be inthe restaurant in about two minutes, she repeatedly her request with an aggressive tone. We would have been perfectly finesitting at the bar or the bar tables, we are pretty low mintenance, but this was never presented as an option, until thebrunette hostess very sweetly asked us to move to over there, which was not a problem. As someone who works in the serviceindustry I completely understand the need to flip a table or when you need the space but I absolutely do not understand thenasty attitude this woman attached to it. She was the only black mark on what would have otherwise been a wonderful brunch. Read more

Nice view from back patio. Service was a bit lacking in terms of personality and attitude. I don't mind pricey, but the menu was... limited and the food was good, not great. Read more

Tried to go back a second time: They cancelled our Mother's Day lunch reservation as we were leaving to go. We had to scramble... to find another place. We will not be going back. Tucked away in an historical village, there's a gem of a restaurant. Clean, beautiful view and delicious food. Brunch was fabulous. Get there early and you miss the crowds. Service is great. Outdoordining is a plus. Desserts could use some work. Overall, it's a good value for the money spent. Read more

Came here for brunch a few weeks ago and I must say this place is just spectacular! The food was just beyond delicious. Don’t... get me started on their service! They’re very welcoming and friendly! We did not expect the portions to fill us but trust me,we were all super full but despite being full we wanted to get dessert. Who says no to dessert anyways?! Their desserts were nottoo sweet but just perfect! Would definitely come back here to try other items on their menu! I’d also recommend makingreservations as this place seems to get pretty packed during brunch. Read more

The vibes in Roslyn neighborhood is quite cozy, slow paced and great for weekend brunch. The decor of Thyme is classy, elegant... and great for larger group. We were there as a group of 5 for family gathering right at about 11:30 on a Saturday morning andseated promptly. They served solid new America style brunch with affordable price ($22 with a drink and an entree) and greatvarieties. However, the food was just okay and not surprised, especially their filet salmon was cooked really dry and grilledasparagus was salty. Our favorite was their complimentary scones, well baked and great with their cinnamon butter. Read more
