Dined here for the first time this evening after reading many great reviews. My husband and I are always looking for a great... date night spot. We arrived early and started at the bar for a drink. We always order a sangria to start since it’s ourfavorite. We went with the red, made to order option and it was okay.. nothing special and wouldn’t order it again. After oursangria we were seated at a booth. Our waitress was patient and very helpful. We both had the French onion soup which wasincredible as well as an order of the spinach and artichoke dip which was also amazing. We each tried another cocktail off thecocktail menu. My husband had the bourbon sweet tea which I found to be pretty good but he thought wasn’t strong enough for abourbon based drink. I had the toasted coconut margarita which was very heavy on the tequila and did not have the yummy toastedcoconut rim as expected. It was also too strong if you ask me.. heavy handed drinks are great but only if the flavor of itbalances it out. We then tried the ribs which were okay, the Granny Smith chicken which I had read so many great reviews on,also okay and the mac and cheese which I was most excited for and that was a bit of a disappointment as well. After all thatfood we ordered an order of cheesecake to go and I have to say it is a tiny slice for the price but haven’t tasted it yet tosay if it was worth it or not. Overall, I would go back just for the soup but don’t think this will be our new go to place fordate night. Read more
Came to celebrate a friends birthday. We received excellent service! The restaurants atmosphere & layout is very nice. The... bathroom was immaculate. The food was good & served hot. They offer indoor & outdoor seating & valet parking. Complimentarybread with butter & hummus at the table. They have something for everyone, even vegan options. Would love to return. Read more
Great neighborhood restaurant atmosphere. The place was packed you can tell most of the crowd were regulars. The service was... good, my table was ready in 5 minutes. We ordered the spicy blood orange margaritas they were excellent. Appetizers we had thecorn shrimp soup and the pulled pork sliders both were very good. The entrees were good but n't amazing. I had the skirt steakover short rib ravioli, it was too salty and my wife had the Baja tacos. My friend told me next time to get the half roastedchicken and the burger, so I will come back to try those. Overall it was nice dining experience, the prices and portions weregreat. The check had a QR code to pay which I loved, it was so quick. I hate waiting 10 minutes for wait staff to give me backmy credit card. Read more
They hosted our small wedding. The side room is cozy and we had 23 adults in there, could fit more. They were very... accommodating with everything and flexible. I'm posting pictures of the food because we didn't get any shots of the room withoutguests. We have to make a return on our 1st anniversary and going forward yearly as well. Lots of compliments on the room andfood. Recommend Mims not just for small events but the food as well. Read more
This restaurant is easily one of the best places I've ever been to. The food was all absolutely delicious. We had the wings,... buffalo spring rolls, rigatoni with steak, granny smith apples chicken, and chicken parmesean. Everything was amazing. Theatmosphere is warm and felt like home but also beautiful and elegant. I went with my girlfriends and we all agreed we would beback to try the entire menu. Service was wonderful I really enjoyed our waitress and she was spot on with her suggestionsespecially for dessert. The cookie skillet and banana Betty parfait were incredible. American grill fare with a full bar/cocktail set up. Valet parking on site and tented outdoor seating available. This visit was... my first and the menu was the draw. I had my eye on this spot but timing was key. Make a reservation when possible. Thewaitresses were very friendly and welcoming. The chicken breast and apples entree was excellent and I really enjoyed my steakwith mushrooms, cheese over rigatoni. So savory! Read more
Went for a birthday party and was seated in a private room which was nice. Food was excellent except one person asked for a well... done steak and it came out raw and she ended up getting sick despite having the steak recooked. Service was a little slow andthere was lag between people getting their food. I was looking for a restaurant to take my family to for my Dads birthday. I’m so happy I decided to give Mims a try. The... service was wonderful. Our server was very friendly and always made sure we were happy with what we ordered. I had the sautéedchicken and even though it sounds boring, it was delicious. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. My favorite item fromthe night would have to be the Buffalo chicken spring rolls! Crispy and filled with just the right amount of chicken.
