Service was fantastic even though it was busy. We never felt rushed. They didn’t have the bottle of wine we ordered so they... gave us a better on that was perfect with the meal. The only downside was I had so much fun (and so much to drink) that Ididn’t take any photos. Fortunately, they let us take home the wine we didn’t finish. That’s the photo I chose. Read more

Might be delicious to others, but personally I did not like it, this was my first experience with Lebanese food. Some dishes... are served cold (on purpose!) and that was hard to adjust to. I could tell the food had great flavor, but I couldn't get overthe temperature The herbal lemonade was good though! Read more

We ate a delicious dinner at the Lebanese Taverna after a long day at the zoo. The service was great and everything we tried was... perfectly cooked and flavored. We had our 3-year-old with us and she enjoyed coloring on the kids’ menus with the crayons theyprovided. The bathrooms were bright and clean plus there was an area of sinks for hand washing. There was a nice variety ofcocktails and beers including non alcoholic of both. You could eat at tables outside or indoors - our table was along the wallwith a comfy bench seat. Bonus: the restaurant is directly across from the Zoo metro stop so after dinner our commute was quickand easy. This was one of our favorite places during our trip to DC and we highly recommend a visit! Read more

Ordered a taverna platter with shawarma (lamb) and it was a lovely combination of rice, salad, lamb, and hummus. The free bread... is beautiful and light/fluffy. Prices are reasonable and plenty of space indoors and outdoors. We even were able to stay untilafter closing to just chat. Read more

The hommus and Baba Ghannouge were excellent! I had a favorite in Chicago and now I’ve finally found one as great here in... Silver Spring Maryland. The pick your platter was the perfect option for me, it was about three meals worth of food! Veryimpressed with quality and quantity! Read more

Lebenesse Taverna A lovely restaurant space with a vaulted curved high ceiling, nicely furnished and finished, airy and... comfortable. Prompt friendly service follows smoothly, but with no pressure at all. (We were awaiting a 4th person who weultimately did take away for - this was neither an issue or problem, and demonstrates a dynamic approach to customer servicefrom Mustafa our server) The humus with lamb shawarma, baba ganoush and the arnabeet; cauliflower chickpeas, tahini and pinenuts starters was delicious and with hot pitta and oil a substantial starter. The chicken shawarma sandwich with salad wasdelicious, the chicken was marinated and in a lovely sauce. The chicken curry was mild but flavoursome, while the lamb andartichoke stew had a lovely fruity hint to it, and proved the unusual but very tasty surprise. To end they kindly brought usthe baklava without ice-cream as we could just about share it. Loved this service. Excitingly they were hot, and verydelicious. We will return here for sure. Read more

Last night was the second time we ate at Lebanese Taverna in DC. The food is outstanding. I ordered lamb shish kebab, the... waiter asked me how I wanted the lamb cooked and I said medium rare. Well, the lamb came out well done. I mentioned it to thewaiter and in a bothered manner he just said "Well I asked for medium rare". He didn't seem to care. Otherwise, everything wasdelicious and we will return. Read more
