Houck's Grille has existed since 1986. We had been there before once many many years ago and decided to revisit again recently.... We were there around 6:30pm on a Thursday evening. They had a private party at their covered outdoor patio; the dining room wasabout 30% full. The hostess gave us a choice to pick where we wanted to sit which we appreciated. Our server Brooke provided asolid 5* service! We were greeted promptly, warmly, and genuinely right after we sat down. The pace of the food serving wasperfect, and she did check in with us a few times throughout our meal to ensure we had everything we needed and to refill thedrinks. As for the food, although the prices might not seem cheap on the menu, every item we ordered, the portions sure alignedwith the price points, they were all in decent size and tasted good! The restaurant got busy later in the evening and was about80-90% full. So make sure to go early if you want to grab a good spot in the dining room or take advantage of their happy hours50% starter promotion (Tue - Fri 4pm-6pm, Starters ranging from $12-$18). For the bill, If you choose to pay your bill withcash, you get a ~10% discount. This was a good offer to customers and also to help the restaurant with their cash flow. Theyalso have a birthday special with $27 off from lunch or dinner entrees, must be on birthday and will need to show ID. This isdefinitely a good promotion and we will plan to take this advantage when we have a birthday celebration. All in all, we had agreat experience and will definitely revisit and will recommend Houck's Grille to anyone looking for great food and greatservice! Read more
First time at Houck's. I was impressed with the variety of the menu and the quality of all our dishes. I was expecting a sport's... bar and got a nice restaurant. The ladies got salads with great pieces of fish and I got a steak with two sides. Everything wastasty and well prepared. Service was speedy with teamwork. What a wonderful dining experience! I like to experience a restaurant at least 3 times before I write about it. The staff was... very professional and you could tell they actually care about the service provided. I have attended a number of businessmeetings there and went away EVERTIME knowing I will be back! The food. . . GOODNESS the food! Since every human requires foodto survive, you may as well enjoy a meal that it memorable, satisfying, and ABSOLUTELY delicious! Houck's does NOT disappoint. The Trout SMELLED so bad... that the waitress said she smelled it too. I had to send it back to the kitchen. It was not fresh,... and the meat was hard like rubber. Fried shrimp or ok, carrot cake was alright. Read more
Good ribs and shrimp. My son loved the pizza and green beans. Wife loved the chicken sliders. Fair service and refills.
We recently had my husbands 40th birthday party on the patio at Houck?s grill. It was awesome! Food was delicious and service... was great! They make it very easy to book and their party packages are affordable. Also the patio was comfortable and warmduring a party in late November. We would definitely book an event here again. Read more
Stopped by Houcks for the first time to play Tuesday night trivia and enjoyed our time here. We got an order of the Black and... Blue Chips, as well as an order of Chicken Wings and both were very tasty! We'll definitely be back and recommend you check themout as well Read more
The jumbo wings included flats and drums, nicely seasoned lemon pepper. Service was good. Immediate offers to make a new burger... to replace the first one that had more than just the center as med rare. Definitely on the rare side, but that comes with beingunfamiliar with their excellent beef quality. The patties were well-seasoned. My medium well had too much pink, but I hadanticipated Medium so I enjoyed it. Atmosphere is good, nothing exceptional, I counted at least 4 different games on asufficient number of screens. Read more
