The Tavern’s ambience is cozy elegant! You will be transported by their interior design! Smooth and relaxing Jazz Music softly... accompanied our dinner and did not over power our table conversations. Wonderful for a romantic night out! I enjoyed everysingle bite of my meal and so did my guest! The flavors were off the charts! My guest said his drink was mixed to perfection,too! Nothing like a professional and sweet server, too! Decor was lovely, bartender (“Dan”) was sweet & “small plates” meals were tasty, but that’s about it. Dinner prices... were crazy ($40). Host, “Serge” was very rude! My husband & I had a 6:00 reservation but we forgot to specify “booth”and Serge said because we were only 2 people, he couldn’t seat us there! So Dan took care of us at the bar. The restaurant washalf full & the booth we requested sat empty while we sat at the bar. My advise is if you want a booth, request it when makingreservations or make sure there’s at least 4 of you!! Where to start? The decoration, relaxing, wood and iron, the beautiful pictures of ocean , shores. The music is on point to... enjoy a quiet and excellent meal. The food, the food was delicious. Maybe the best I've had in Englewood. Had the salmon with arisotto that I couldn't stop eating even though I was already full, addictive. Hubby had steak and loved it, and he's particularabout his steak. Our server was Lisa, the nicest girl. The owner came to our table and gave us advise on the dessert. His wifeis the pastry chef. They make their own ice cream!! ... Will definitely be back, not cheap but you can taste what you pay inevery bite. Totally worth it. Read more
This was our first time at the restaurant. We had the French onion soup - to die for! I had the pan seared scallops, which were... cooked to perfection. My husband had the red snapper. It was good, but needed a little more flavor/seasoning for our taste. Ourserver was excellent - attentive, but not overbearing. The ambiance is comfortable, warm and inviting.
