This was my favorite location for like, 5 years. I work nights and the last 3 times I went, everything appears to be on, the... store appears open, and the app takes orders. Nobody answers the speaker or the phone though. I try to give them the benefit ofthe doubt, I've worked in food before and things happen. Well, last night, I hit the speaker at about 3:15am~ and I'm told thesystem is rebooting and won't be up for 15-20 minutes. Okay, no problem. So I wait about 30 minutes before I roll back up to thespeaker. At this point, I'm told the system is still down and it will be at least 10 minutes and they will only serve breakfastwhen its back up. The same woman from before acts like she doesn't know what I'm talking about when I bring up that I justwaited a half hour. I won't be coming back here. The location in Fox Lake doesn't treat counting the register like an excuse tohide in the back and refuse to do what they're paid to do. I'd take your business there. Read more
11:30 Sunday night. Parking lot is blocked by random truck. Pull around and proceed to get in drive through. Woman walks out and... tells me they are closed. Meanwhile there are 3 cars in front of me, the car at the menu is ordering… so I’m confused. Andwant to understand so I ask her why. She says they close every Sunday night. I continue to ask why, she seems to not understandmy questions. Nor does she seem to understand my question of why there is a random truck blocking the entrance. Woman isHispanic, does not give me her name or her managers name and is oblivious to my misunderstandings of why they are closed, butpeople are still ordering, or why she (or I’m assuming another employee) would have their truck parked blocking the entrance.Meanwhile I stay in the drive through and every single car up until me ordered and got what they ordered. Is this a regularthing? That they close a 24hr McDonald’s w random cars blocking the driveway? Never have I ever experienced this. But if theyare going to do that, maybe say 24/7 except sundays.. idk, would make more sense. ??????? Read more
By far the worst experience I have had at a mcdonalds. I ordered the adult happy meal thing and they told me at the drive thru... that they were out of it. I said fine can I change it to a regular chicken mcnuget order since that is essentially what Iordered. They told me to pull up to the window and there were 3 workers there, two young employees and one who I assume was amanager. They said I could not change the order and that I would have to come in and order it. Fine, I did such and I asked tomake sure that I would not get charged for the original order and so I could use another deal on the app since there is awaiting period for deals so you cannot use it twice in a row. The manager had a whole hissy fit about it saying I had to cancelthe order. I told her it would not let me on the app and she did nothing. My wife noticed a charge on her card and I told herabout it. She finally gave us a refund and them I said let's get out of here. Tl;Dr don't go here. Horrible customer service,coming from a restaurant manager myself. Read more
I have them one star just to leave the review…. Worst customer service ever! Rude and lazy!!! If you don’t wanna work or you... are not situated with your job, just change it, and leave the position to people that want to work. This place is supposed to beopen 24/7 but other than close earlier, they don’t shut the lights down, making you think they are open, and as soon youapproach the drive through, they are even rude!!!! I ordered my fries fresh and I got cold fries. I am also missing a cheese burger. It took them over five minutes to take my... order in the drive thru. When I get to the window to pay I looked at the receipt and it was not my order I told them that thisis not my order. They also did not put napkins in my bag. I also got 3 mc chicken fresh and they are not fresh. I will not begoing there again I rather go to a different one and get my order right. Round lake beach McDonald's is the worst. Read more

As a DoorDasher, I come here frequently and have customers contact me often to ask how they can get a refund for missing and... incorrect items from this specific location. Most customers already know how to do that and don't need to ask me. Right now,they're still taking orders at 2:12am after refusing to remake an order they gave to a random person that was not here on behalfof DoorDash. The order had a 1:55 pickup time and I arrived around 1:40 after being assigned the order 15 minutes prior to thatbecause of my location when I accepted the order. I was prepared to have to wait, but the employee actually remembered handingout the order. I had DoorDash customer service call this McDonald's and they did refuse to correct their mistake after I hadbeen waiting long enough for the customer to contact me to ask if their order was almost ready. I lost out on a lot of pay forthe night trying to do right by the customer because McDonald's refused to rectify their mistake. They're only supposed to givean order to whomever is assigned to it because the driver assigned to it is the only person who has the necessary order number.I don't think there could have been a glitch allowing a 2nd driver to be assigned to the same order, especially since thecustomer had access to my contact info. Why refuse to do the work to fix what they screwed up when their signage does indicatethey are open 24hrs unlike some locations that close at 2am? Normally, I wouldn't agree to pick up an order from this locationafter 1am because an employee will typically tell me they do not have the order in their system even if I've driven 20+ minutesto get here and they won't make an order based off the official information that includes every single thing about the orderincluding whether or not someone wants ketchup packets or a burger without the pickle. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Whether it's doordash or their abysmal drive thru, there is always items missing... from the order. Tonight I was missing a full meal. Go to literally any other Mcdonalds. Read more
