I used to come here constantly when it was Star coffee, it was fantastic and I loved it, they had amazing vibes and it was... home-y and warm and amazing, lots of selection and there was so much to do, and look at, such as their bookshelves ofboardgames, and quirky community notebooks that people could draw/write in whatever they wanted, a highlight of my experiencegoing there was definitely flipping through the well-worn pages and getting a peek into other people\'s lives, that\'s what itwas like going to Star, intimate, fun, and interesting.\nNow that it\'s Lampost I have never been more disappointed, it\'s bleakand sterile, the vibes there are now hostile and boring, it\'s as if they went on one trip to Kohls for decor and only usedKohls cash to buy everything. The walls are 70 shades of monotone grey, and there\'s absolutely no life at all.\nThey have about7 syrups, whereas Star coffee had so many options and variety when it came to everything. The entire shop seems like a hospitalwaiting room, I was utterly disappointed when I first walked in, I would spend my own time and money decorating the place forthe sake of the atmosphere that they\'ve destroyed.\nI\'m glad that the owner of Star retired for himself, but I\'m so sad thatthis is what has become to a place that was once an absolute GEM of a coffee shop, might I say a landmark of Round Rock. Nowit\'s as if some California coffee shop came to Austin and failed, and then migrated to Round Rock to suck away at the localshappiness.\nTheir lattes are ok, but if you want a local coffee shop experience, go to Cafe Java instead.\n\nEDIT: They\'redefinitely trying, all of the employees are godsends and fantastic, the coffee is basic but good/cheap, the owner is awfulenough to cause a walk out of employees but besides that, they\'re definitely a coffeeshop in the downtown area ???? On a busy Saturday, during an event in downtown, they seriously only had 1 person working. How cheap is the owner??? It took... over 20 mins to receive our drinks. The poor batista couldn\'t make them and take orders at the same time. Read more

Cherry & chocolatey. Wouldnt go out of my way to go here but it was definitely better than expected and a pretty decent choice... for the area. Wasn\'t anything spectacular. Steaming and pouring technique a little lacking but the you can definitely expectdecent coffee/espresso. Read more

Good coffee and great location. Took my little guy to the sprinkler pads on a hot July afternoon and Lampost offered a great and... cool spot to rest. Environment is very inclusive and family friendly. Clientele are nice mix of lap top dockers, napping babies, and local business owners. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Read more

My favorite latte in Austin. I always order a lamba latte with 1/4 syrup and oat milk. Iced is just as good as hot.\nReally cute... & clean inside! I love the large windows and natural light. Read more

My first time visiting Lamppost Coffee. I was not disappointed! The iced coffee was good, the service good and she was very... informative about the coffee. The inside is a cool vibe with plenty of space. I?ll be back for sure! Read more
