This was very good. I don't understand the low rating. Average should be in the 4.5 to 5 star range. It was my first time... here (I'm just visiting for the week). I ordered the samosas, the masala dosa, and a mango lassi. Everything tasted great andthe portions were very generous. I came in very hungry and I was very satisfied at the end. This business is UNSCRUPULOUS and ARROGANT. We made an order over the phone and got a surprise extra "credit card processing... fee". When we called up later to question, these guys told me it's their normal practice and pointed me to signs put up in therestaurant about it. Worst was to hear DO WHATEVER YOU CAN and they hung up on me. More than the extra fee its abt theirattitude of charging something without disclosure. Great vegetarian food. Shaks are fresh. Oldest restaurant in the area. I've known this for at least 17 years. Favorites other... than Shak are Chole bhature and shakes. Very good attempt at decorating a former Chinese restaurant space. Read more

Swad Vegetarian restaurant is a really good Indian vegetarian restaurant in this area.The food is really very tasty and... delicious.The price of the food is very reasonable, not very costly. They have variety of mouth watering dishes.One of the othermain attraction of the restaurant is the interior design, the interior design of the restaurant is really beautiful. Therestaurant is huge and lot of seating capacity.They have special kind of seats there you can sit comfortably. Staffs in therestaurant is really friendly.The service is quick. Been loving this place for going on 20 years, back when it was on Lamar. Bigger space, same great atmosphere, service and most... important, the food! Short staffed our waiter was upfront when setting expectations on service then over delivered. The dosawas crisp, the filling flavorful, sambar was hot and spicy, and the chutneys really set it off. We ordered some chat item like dahi puri , good in fast , along withit we ordered hakka noodles and saag paratha and aloo partha , apart from chole and paneer the taste of dishes were good .
