Our server Carley (I'm sure I'm spelling it wrong) was great and attentive. The food was AMAZING! The chicken and waffles was... spot on! I got the gravy on the side because I am not a fan of gravy...there was no more gravy when I was done. The farmersbreakfast has a little kick with the potatoes. The carrot cake pancakes are a sin! Glad to finally have Whiskey Cake in our area. We’ve been for brunch and lunch and both times it was delicious. I loved the... grits and enjoyed the pancakes as the flavors were spot on. Burgers were good, the fries are not worth the $3 upcharge(comparable to In&Out fries). Drinks were unique and good. We’ll definitely be back for dinner and to try the actual whiskeycake. Read more

My husband and I decided to try out this new restaurant a week ago, since we really look for those places that do farm-to-table... and can modify menu items if you have food restrictions. Whiskey Cake grows their own herbs, peppers, and other items in agarden just outside of the restaurant! Service was exceptional, and our server was more than kind and helpful in answering myquestions and meeting my food restrictions. We had the goat cheese appetizer, fried chicken sandwich, and rotisserie chickensandwich. Get the fries - hand cut and made in house - amazing!! I absolutely loved my experience here. The ambiance is contemporary and modern. The bar has whiskey from all over the world. The... steak and even the salad were delicious. I had a flight of whiskey which was worth it. And The whiskey cake ????. It wasabsolutely delicious with the fresh made whipped cream. This place was busy so i would highly recommend making a reservation ifyou are going for dinner. There is a big parking lot. Great place for date night. Our cocktails and goat cheese appetizer were great - both are worth coming back for. However, our entrees were way too salty.... Like over the top salty. And the squash was undercooked. We’ve been waiting for Whiskey Cake to arrive in Austin and I’m happy it’s here! The whole table had different flavorful... foods and good service. I had the crispy chicken salad and was really impressed with the juiciness of the chicken and thecombination of flavors. I was disappointed in the offerings. I loved the Whiskey Cake in Plano for its simple farm to tableoptions. I felt this menu had less approachable choices, especially for a large group. I think they everyone reverted to staplesbecause a lot of the combinations seemed a little bizarre. We also had the signature whiskey cake, but ours was just a littleburnt. I don’t love the high top tables. I think this is a restaurant trend that should die. I think I will still come backhere but I don’t think my expectations were completely met yet. Read more

First time visiting Whiskey Cake since they opened to Round Rock about 2 weeks ago. The restaurant is cute and of course it was... packed because it’s new but the service is great and our server knew the menu front and back. We appreciated her knowledge andrecommendations. The drinks are good and we did find the shrimp and grits to be a touch salty but the burger and tri tip dipsandwich are very good! The whiskey cake is to die for!
