Don?t know why I had never tried them before, I lived in Hawaii for 7 years and loved getting Hawaiian plate lunches, came back... to the states and really missed them. Last week I tried one in Pomona and loved it it?s almost exactly like the plates you getin Hawaii(only thing missing is the Kim, yes that?s a Korean side but, the Hawaiians have adopted it into their meals). Soyesterday I gave it a second try at the one in la puente, it was exactly like the first one. Update, This last visit makes formy third one, extremely disappointed, 6 hours after eating both myself and my dog(gave her a couple small pieces of the beef)became violently Sick. Luckily I was staying at a hotel or they?d be buying me a new mattress , sheets and comforter. Had to putthe dog in the bath tub for the night. Yes it was that bad! Not sure why this time was so bad but, I should have stopped eatingit, when that first bite didn?t taste quite right, instead I just added more teriyaki sauce. It?s a shame because now I have tocross it off my list of places to eat. Read more

The food was great but they reallly need more staff our food was getting cold waiting to be bagged up because the person taking... the order had a bunch of people and seems as if she is barely learning the menu. Chiken combo it's great! comes with cabbage veggies, macaroni salad, white rice, chicken teriyaki, katsu chicken, and sauces,... very tasty and good price. Friendly staff, wait time can be lengthy, and the location is great, there's always parking. Read more
