Best BBQ!! And we've been all over Texas for good, moist BBQ. Very excited this place is so nearby. Mac and cheese was great... too. But not as impressed with chicken friend steak. ROWLETT we have decent BBQ and home cooking. My hubs had the catfish and I had the brisket plate. I was CRAVING BBQ. The sliced... brisket plate was outstanding the first time. 2nd time I ordered the large and told the waitress so I could take the rest of theportion home. It was dry and chewy & the cabbage tasted burnt. I sent the remaining portion back and waitress said “ohsorry” and threw it out. That was it. ??????? Anyway, my hubby still liked the catfish. Decided to give this place a try. The service was friendly and a hostess did greet us but you pick your seat. There is a... separate bar area with seating, the regular dining area is separate and outside seating is off the bar area. Food options wereboth BBQ and home cooked foods. Dessert options and a kids menu. We ordered sweet tea and it was very sweet. The food was veryfood and good sized portions. Sweet BBQ sauce is on the table and they bring the spicy BBQ sauce in a cup. It was hot spicy buypeppery spicy. We will definitely go back and try different plates. Read more

Cons: Sad brisket. Very dry and bland. It had no smoke flavor, salt, or seasoning. Baby back ribs had so much sauce to make up... for the meat that was hard. The turkey was also dry and had no flavor. The mashed potatoes were also bland. They were literallyjust mashed potatoes (and a long hair). No salt or butter that I could taste. Gravy didn't help. I ordered to-go at the bar andwaited at least 25 minutes for this disappointing meal to be boxed. Restaurant was about half capacity around 2:30PM. Pros:jalapeño sausage was good. Nice spice level and plenty of cheese. The Mac and cheese was good too, wasn't overcooked and mushy.The okra was good and crispy with plenty of salt. Will I go back or recommend? I had the pleasure of stopping in here for the first time yesterday. My wife and I have talked about going often, but one thing... or another has came up and kept us from giving it a try. We met some friends for dinner, and it was great. I ordered the 3 meatplate with brisket, pulled pork and jalapeno cheddar sausage, my sides were french fries and mac' n' cheese.
