I love Iron Horse. If you want a night out in Royal Oak- gotta be Iron Horse. Great spot for a group-- a little something for... everyone. The vibe is impeccable, the staff are friendly, and there is nothing bad on the menu. I would recommend making areservation (if you are going on a busy night). Here are some of my favorites at Iron Horse: Drink: Purple Gang (I dont evenlike Bourbon and I LOVE this drink) Food: IHRO Salad- I am not kidding this is THE BEST salad I have ever had in my life. It isbalanced, has crispy chickpeas, and you dont even notice how many greens you are eating because its so fun. Get it with theshredded chicken. Their chicken tortilla soup is also very good. We randomly found Iron Horse and we were very happy to find it. It's tucked between a few businesses and doesn't stand out so... much from the front. But the inside is actually a decent size with numerous tables. The ambience is intimate with low lightingand comfortable seating. However, the giant screen in the front area of the bar seems a little unnecessary. The food was great,we ordered the chorizo tacos and a salad. We ended the night with delicious churros that came with caramel and strawberry sauce.It was a great night. Read more
Margs are strong (and in my weak spice tolerance opinion, the spicy margs were SPICY - but very good). Tacos & chips/salsa was... only okay. Service was incredibly slow and took away from our overall experience- despite the place being nearly empty on aThursday night :/ Read more
First time here and we will be back! The pizzas are to die for. We had the spinach garlic and sweet Mexican pizza. Sooooo... good!!!! The waitstaff and the hostess are top notch! Such personal attention and so friendly! I?m coming back for sure! Willneed to try brunch here! Read more
The happy hour drinks are good. The menu is limited but the service was great. Inside is dark and dank so sit near the window... if you want to see what you are eating. Great place to eat if you have concert tickets. Read more

We really enjoyed the food but unfortunately our server was not attentive to our needs. He ignored us for at least 15 min after... ordering an appetizer without checking back to see if we wanted to order our dinner. He also took my husband's alcoholicbeverage without asking if he was done. Because he actually wasn't done and was saving it to drink with our meal. It wasupsetting he threw away half of a $12 margarita because of a lack of customer service skills. Overall it wasn't a goodexperience. Read more
