Hostesses was friendly and welcoming. We sat outside on the patio nice atmosphere. Our waitress was fast friendly and... knowledgeable. Got the margarita flight of 4 flavors strawberry jalapeño, blueberry mint, frozen peach and frozen cherry lime.It was $26 it was I’ve had better flights from other places that had me feeling the liquor. Peach was the best flavor and Ididn’t care for the strawberry jalapeño. Order lobster taco, cajun shrimp taco and spicy shrimp taco. The spicy taco was thebest one it had a slight sweet taste to it. I believe it has a mango salsa on it. The lobster taco was good. It’s half of alobster tail fried on a soft shell. The Cajun shrimp taco wasn’t good at all. It’s their dynamite shrimp on a flour shell.The shrimp it too small to be fried that hard. The shrimp in the spicy taco were bigger which it did state that it was 16/20size. This was my first time going to Mesa. Food was ok, the rice and beans were dry and stiff so I didn't eat those. The tacos were... good but a little to spicy. My red sangria was good. Maybe if I go back I'll try something else hopefully it won't be too spicyor I can tell them to dial back on the spice. A well kept establishment in a nice area. A cool place to have outside drink during the spring. The food is a bit mediocre and... under-seasoned for an Ameri-Mexican restaurant. We tried the lobster tacos which were pretty good. The wings were well-cookedbut oversized and not very flavorful. The traditional queso enchiladas were pretty basic but the portion was nice. Overall itwas just OK and a lot of it was due to the fairly slow service. May come back for drinks one day.. Read more
Ignore the other reviews. This place deserves 5/5 stars! Long wait on a Saturday but worth it! The service was so fast, server... was so friendly and the vibe was perfect for young- middle aged adults… oh and not to mention great food and tequila drinkoptions that are more than I ever seen. I tried the crunch burrito and it was amazing. My friend tried the tacos and she saidthey were the best she ever had! The Oreo fried ice cream was sooo good. We were so full and left happy! Please make sure youbring plenty of change for the parking meters or park in the garage. Read more
I’ve been wanting to go here for like a year and we finally were able to go on a Saturday night but we drove an HOUR just to... come here and get a Freakshake (and dinner too). We had a guacamole appetizer which was good & the tortilla chips were nice andwarm. I ordered a Churro Freakshake. I asked our waiter what the difference was between the $25 Freakshake and the $15 MiniFreakshake. He said the only difference was the Mini Freakshake had 2 less desserts on top. I figured we could get the Mini andit would still make for cool photos for social media. They brought me out a shake…. With no toppings and no desserts. Therewas nothing freaky about it. I was so let down. In ALL the pictures on the Mesa menu and on their Instagram page they show thatthe Freak shake comes out on a plate with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and candy. Also in all of the pictures there isfrosting and candy covering the rim of the glass and candy eyeballs. I got NONE of that. It was just a milkshake in a glass. Whoin their right mind pays $15 for a plain milkshake?!? Well I guess we did but because we didn’t complain… we just paid andleft because we were running late for a party. But back to the food.. I had the Lobster Baja tacos for an entree and they werepretty good, a little spicy but not too bad and I enjoyed the crunch! My husband got the brisket tacos and those were good too.I was disappointed with the beans though. The beans were a hard lump and very dry. The grilled pineapple margarita was prettygood, not a super strong pineapple flavor though. I was more disappointed in the blood orange margarita which I tried next andit just tasted like Tang (powdered drink flavor orange) and nothing special. Read more
