We came to this establishment to celebrate 8 years of a black business restaurant owner of the city of Detroit. It was 5 of us... and we are all business owners. The police was called because we looked like we were not going to pay the bill. I wasembarrassed, I was angered, I have never been treated like that in my life. I met Karen that night. The atmosphere was really nice as was the staff! The food and drinks are quite pricy but the ingredients all seemed to be very... good quality! The fried chicken was burnt but the chips that came with it was good. We ordered chips and guacamole, but we got chips and salsa... along with some cut tomatoes.We never got any guacamole. Later one of the waitresses told us that they were out ofguacamole. Gnocchi was creamy and good. The salad was very refreshing. The salmon was really good as well. So this is located on top of the old Diablo's restaurant. I had not idea. Lol. The theme is Pinky's from "Grease" so they have... fun signature drinks like the "Beauty School Dropout" with cotton candy for the hair of mannequins. It's a festive, pretty coolplace. We came in with a party of 18 and they serviced us so well! I ordered the Steak Frites done medium, and it was perfect!The seating at out table was a little tight, but there were quite a bit of us, so I won't rate them down for that. Our waitresswas amazing! This place was wonderful! . I?m surprised there aren?t more recent reviews on here. There were so many people there and everyone... looked like they were having the time of their lives. It greatly exceeded my expectations! It was unique for sure! Food was verygood. We both ordered the burgers which were the most perfectly cooked burgers I have ever had. Not over done -not under- it wasjust right. The burgers were juicy and soft in the best way! It was not in any way burnt. The fries were seasoned to perfection!I loved the Dessert we got. The dessert was in no way very sweet. It was more complex and high-end-tasting than sweet. I got acouple drinks and they were fabulous. I love that you can order cotton candy and the presentation was very cool. The ambiancewas trendy and comfortable. Yes this is a more expensive place both in quality and price. There?s a couple things to keep inmind though. The drinks are around $15 which is well worth it for many of the drinks they have especially the ones that haveflair. Yes this place is a bit on the pricey side but it isn?t the most expensive restaurant I?ve seen with similar quality.Keep in mind it?s a fashionable trendy bar seconds away from the parking garage with great food and wonderful service. It?s notthe only bar in its area with higher prices so you have to take that in consideration. Nothing is more frustrating than anexpensive place that isn?t worth it. I will continue to support this business as long as they maintain it?s quality. It?s agreat place to go for a nice date night out, a birthday, or group hang out. I really enjoy Pinky?s! This place is an entire vibe! Yesterday was my second visit there. I got two drinks, the turning... Japanese which was delicious and strong. And also a Frosé which I fell in love with on my first visit. The Parmesan herb friesare delicious with the aioli Mayo. I got the harvest salad with added chicken thigh which was very filling. My first visit wasfor my birthday on Labor Day weekend. Despite the parking situation, I loved the experience. I believe I got a salmon dish whichwas very good but had lots of corn.
