We are from out of state , and wanted to find a place where we could enjoy some breakfast that offered Gluten free options. They... definitely delivered!! We hadn't been to an OPH for over 20 years, but we're waiting on our vehicle to get new tires and another customer recommended... we go since it was next door to the Discount Tire. Service was a little slow because they were short-handed and the poorwaitresses were bussing their own tables, but they were hard working ladies and very sweet. Our waitress was Kimberly - she wasamazing, beautiful and working her tail off - and still as pleasant as could be! I ordered biscuits and gravy, and hubbyordered the hash skillet. The food was good; like a home cooked breakfast. No frills and predictable. I tasted the hash -real corned beef, but too salty for me. Hubby liked it just fine and cleaned his plate. The toast was BIG and yummy - crispyoutside and soft and warm inside. We didn't order fresh orange juice, but got to see the cool machine they had. Whole orangesgo in the top and fresh orange juice comes out the bottom. It must have been good because a lot of people were orderingit. My daughter & I took her father to the Original House Of Pancakes yesterday for Father's Day! There was an awful smell inside of... the restaurant, It was extremely busy( As We Expected) we Were seated It took the waitress Maybe 20minutes to come take ourorder KEEP In mind we had already waited 40 minutes outside to get a table , I Ordered A Sausage Biscuit & Gravy W/Grits & ASide of bacon And A Coffee! The Grits was sooooo water , But the waitress did warn me that they wasn't thick at all & statedthat other customers had sent them back HOWEVER I Never imagined the grits would look or taste the way it did , our food cameout & I'm looking at my husband & daughter Like what is this , by this time I took a picture & my husband say well taste it ANDIt was horrible , The waiter never came back to our table not to even refill my coffee AND To make matters worst she kept mychange of Because I had NO INTENTIONS Of tipping her because she didn't deserve it! Not the biggest fan in the sense of recommending them or raving about it, but if you order Pancakes you'll be fine. I really... enjoy the buckwheat Pancakes and I generally order them with something on the side, although from the two times i have had them,the level of enjoyment was not quite the same as it didnt seem consistent with the first time flavor and quality wise. Very friendly staff. The baked omelettes are huge, highly recommend. I had the Greek omelette and it was delicious. My father... had the western omelette with pancakes and he really enjoyed his as well. They seem to keep the heat inside when they are bakedso stayed hot longer which was great. We ordered a Big breakfast. I had a crepe with strawberries. I ordered the cream cheese with strawberries on top and they... brought me the one with strawberries outside and inside. I didn't care to much for it. Then I ordered plain hash browns withscrambled eggs and bacon. The bacon and eggs were delish but the hash browns way too greasy.... However the best thing was theextremely fresh squeezed Orange Juice, oh mee gosh it was so delish..... Exactly like if your biting into an orange.... My hunordered the egg McMuffin but on white bread. He didn't like it to much.... The server named James I think gets a 10. He wasamazing, attentive and very polite. Yes there were mistakes in our order but overall the other items made it worth it.....wewill try it again... The prices were way too high for breakfast.... As I mentioned before I went back today 11/5/21 and myserver was Kimberly. She was very nice engaged to in my conversation and treated me like royalty. The food was so delish. I gotthe crepes I wanted with all the trimmings... Very spoiled.???? My hashbrowns were cooked just as I asked. I'm definitely goingback.
