Best food we had for dinner on Labor Day weekend! Mahi tacos and blackened salmon. Salmon had a bit of a spice taste if you... can?t handle spicy stuff. Dessert brownie with ice cream and pineapple was something different with the pineapple in it but isnow something i wish more restaurants have. Definitely coming back next time we stop in Ruidoso! "That's the way he likes it." I'm confused how anyone especially a cook or chef would like uncooked rice. Very bizarre. It was... hard and crunchy and needed maybe 6 more minutes in the rice cooker? The waitress brought out more and it was the same. Offeredto replace with friends fries...yeah no, can't see eating tacos and french fries. The taco was pretty good. I had tenderloin andmy daughter had salmon taco. She was disappointed it didn't have but a couple of pieces of salmon. Maybe possibly it was becauseit was within 20 minutes of closing but that's just a guess. Two stars because of the rice and that it was extra to add rice andthey didn't make it right. Read more

I?ve never had as great of an Mani Taco outside of Hawaii than the one I ate at Grill Caliente! Pleasant atmosphere, warm staff,... and beyond amazing food and desserts!! This is a great place to hang out with family or come out to relax! Highlyrecommended!!!! Read more
Always such a wonderful experience and incredible food. Staff is always so friendly & efficient. We recently had a horrible... experience at another local restaurant with our friends for their 21st anniversary and ended up leaving before they even broughtout the food. I immediately called Grill Caliente and spoke with Evelyn, she was so friendly and helpful. She told us to headher direction and she would have a table ready. Excellent customer service. Ordered the pork tenderloin medallions with the perfectly grilled asparagus and the scrumptious mashed potatoes. Mahi mahi tacos... were made with, what seemed to be, freshly made tortillas. Spinach salad with pomegranate dressing for me. What stood out themost was the chips from the chips and cheese dip. Seemed to be super fresh and addicting chips. Asked for salsa as well and wascharged for chips and salsa despite only receiving additional salsa, which by the way was fire roasted. Dessert was definitelythe highlight of the evening. Excellente! Was in town for a visit and the wife wanted some food with green chiles. We had the fried chiles as an appetizer and... it really hit the spot. Crispy, good flavor, and super fresh! Good beer menu and customer service also. The evening we wentthere, showed up right after dinner service opened but had to put our name in for a reservation at 7:30. It was no issue for us;that being said, try to get a reservation. Read more
Good service and good food. While in Mew Mexico you have to have as many green chile plates as you can and this place didn?t... disappoint. Tacos were flavorful and the green chilies abundant but not much spicy bite. Still, an enjoyable meal and the beansand rice for an extra $3 was worth it. Service was great and never once did I have to ask for water as my waiter was on top ofeverything. I would recommend this place if you?re in the area looking for some quick bites. Read more
