We've always wanted to try the Philly Sports Diner in Runnemede since we pass it on the way to Atlantic City. The inside reminds... me of an old fashioned diner and I was excited to try what they had to offer. We sat in our booth for over 10 minutes before aserver approached us. We were almost ready to leave when she came. That should have been our red flag. Our server wasdisinterested and only as polite as she needed to be. I had an omelet and sausage, both generous in portion and tasted fine asexpected. My husband had the California chicken wrap special. The wrap itself was very dry and there wasn't any type of spread(like mayo) on the wrap itself so, the whole thing was bland and dry. Fries were just fair and a bit soggy. He did like thechicken soup however. Now we know when we pass this diner on the way to AC to keep driving. Read more
Great spot! Tuesday night. We sat at a high table at the bar area with its endless TVs; watched the sunset skies through the... huge windows. We had a Dogfish IPA, the soup special, and Phily Sampler app- on point. ?Looks like the perfect place to catchany game! Love the huge parking lot, great location, and very pleasant service. The food was great ! The cream of chicken soup on Sunday is the best I?ve ever had. Also, you must try the sampler platter( it?s... good). Our waiter Pete is great at what he does . He knows the whole menu by memory which is amazing because there is a ton ofstuff in there . His hospitality make us want to go back . Keep up the great job Pete ! I would recommend asking for him asyour waiter, he would make your experience more pleasurable. Read more
Ever time I've been to New Jersey. I have been taking to some really good dinners. This was first time to this dinner. And had... an excellent meal. Great staff and a fun 50's atmosphere. Plenty of decor to go with. I recommend the stuffed flounder withgrilled cauliflower appetizer Paired with flying fish on tap. Read more
This is the first time we have been here in a long time. They have built onto the restaurant and it?s huge. I have limited... mobility and use a cane and a walker. I had a hard time getting into the restaurant with the revolving door. Also, the floorswere super slippery. The food was average. The fries not very good. I found it strange that in multiple places in the menu itsaid, ?thin cut fries?. These were coated and thick almost like steak fries. I did have a problem with my order. I ordered apork roll and cheese sandwich on a Kaiser roll and it came out with egg. I sent it back. The waitress brings it back with eggremnants. They just took the egg off. I could?ve done that. I absolutely do not like egg so I asked for a new sandwich. Thewaitress was nice and admitted it was her mistake. She gave us dessert which I thought was nice. The eclair was excellent. Thatwas one thing that I would give four stars. We would return here to try other things. My husband had the French dip and theroast beef looked really good. Read more
Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Our server, Pete, has a great sense of humor and made our visit such a pleasant experience!... The food is excellent with large portions. I took home leftovers and had two additional meals at home. The homemade cornbreadthat comes with the meals is absolutely absolutely amazing! We will definitely go back when we are in the area again!
